'O God' in the Bible

So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse. And it was so.

So God created the large sea-creatures and every living creature that moves and swarms in the water, according to their kinds. He also created every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

So God blessed them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters of the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.”

So God made the wildlife of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and creatures that crawl on the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female slaves so that they could bear children,

“We had dreams,” they said to him, “but there is no one to interpret them.”Then Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”

So God was good to the midwives, and the people multiplied and became very numerous.

So God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, brought a burnt offering and sacrifices to God, and Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat a meal with Moses’ father-in-law in God’s presence.

Moses went up the mountain to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain: “This is what you must say to the house of Jacob, and explain to the Israelites:

Balaam replied to God, “Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, sent this message to me:

So God split a hollow place in the ground at Lehi, and water came out of it. After Samson drank, his strength returned, and he revived. That is why he named it En-hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day.

he told her the whole truth and said to her, “My hair has never been cut, because I am a Nazirite to God from birth. If I am shaved, my strength will leave me, and I will become weak and be like any other man.”

Then Naaman and his whole company went back to the man of God, stood before him, and declared, “I know there’s no God in the whole world except in Israel. Therefore, please accept a gift from your servant.”

They received help against these enemies because they cried out to God in battle, and the Hagrites and all their allies were handed over to them. He granted their request because they trusted in Him.

Lord, there is no one like You, and there is no God besides You, as all we have heard confirms.

So they went to Hilkiah the high priest, and gave him the money brought into God’s temple. The Levites and the doorkeepers had collected money from Manasseh, Ephraim, and from the entire remnant of Israel, and from all Judah, Benjamin, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And you, Ezra, according to God’s wisdom that you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to judge all the people in the region west of the Euphrates who know the laws of your God and to teach anyone who does not know them.

For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there were leaders of the singers and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

However, if I were you, I would appeal to Godand would present my case to Him.

I will say to God:“Do not declare me guilty!Let me know why You prosecute me.

Yes, this will result in my deliverance,for no godless person can appear before Him.

Can a man be of any use to God?Can even a wise man be of use to Him?

They were the ones who said to God, “Leave us alone!”and “What can the Almighty do to us?”

Then you will delight in the Almightyand lift up your face to God.

He will pray to God, and God will delight in him.That man will see His face with a shout of joy,and God will restore his righteousness to him.

Suppose someone says to God,“I have endured my punishment;I will no longer act wickedly.

I will say to God, my rock,“Why have You forgotten me?Why must I go about in sorrowbecause of the enemy’s oppression?”

Sing praise to God, sing praise;sing praise to our King, sing praise!

The nobles of the peoples have assembledwith the people of the God of Abraham.For the leaders of the earth belong to God;He is greatly exalted.

Say to God, “How awe-inspiring are Your works!Your enemies will cringe before Youbecause of Your great strength.

Sing to God! Sing praises to His name.Exalt Him who rides on the clouds —His name is Yahweh—and rejoice before Him.

Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth;sing praise to the Lord,Selah

Ascribe power to God.His majesty is over Israel,His power among the clouds.

Then they would not be like their fathers,a stubborn and rebellious generation,a generation whose heart was not loyaland whose spirit was not faithful to God.

When you make a vow to God, don’t delay fulfilling it, because He does not delight in fools. Fulfill what you vow.

“You are My witnesses”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“and My servant whom I have chosen,so that you may know and believe Meand understand that I am He.No god was formed before Me,and there will be none after Me.

This is what the Lord, the King of Israel and its Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts, says:I am the first and I am the last.There is no God but Me.

I am Yahweh, and there is no other;there is no God but Me.I will strengthen you,though you do not know Me,

I have been Yahweh your Godever since the land of Egypt;you know no God but Me,and no Savior exists besides Me.

Furthermore, both man and beast must be covered with sackcloth, and everyone must call out earnestly to God. Each must turn from his evil ways and from the violence he is doing.

Then God saw their actions—that they had turned from their evil ways—so God relented from the disaster He had threatened to do to them. And He did not do it.
