The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

And the sons of Gomer were Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

The sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

And two sons were born to Eber: the name of the one [was] Peleg (for in his days the earth was divided), and the name of his brother [was] Joktan.

Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

Abraham's descendants were Isaac and Ishmael.

Ishmael's firstborn son was Nebaioth; the others were Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.

The descendants born to Keturah, Abraham's mistress, were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The descendants of Jokshan were Sheba and Dedan.

And the sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Enoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these [were] the sons of Keturah.

And Abraham fathered Isaac. The sons of Isaac were Esau and Israel.

Esau's descendants were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

Eliphaz's descendants were Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.

Reuel's descendants were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

Seir's descendants were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.

Lotan's descendants were Hori and Homam. Lotan's sister was Timna.

Shobal's descendants were Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. Zibeon's descendants were Aiah and Anah.

Anah's descendant was Dishon. Dishon's descendants were Hamran, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

Ezer's descendants were Bilhan, Zaavan, and Jaakan. Dishan's descendants were Uz and Aran.

These were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king ruled over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor; the name of his city was Dinhabah.

And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chiefs Timna, Aliah, Jetheth,

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.

These were the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah; Issachar and Zebulun;

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan and Shelah; [these] three were born to him from Bathshua the Canaanite. Now Er, Judah's firstborn, [was] evil in the sight of Yahweh, and he put him to death.

And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore Perez and Zerah to him. The sons of Judah [were] five in all.

Perez's sons were Hezron and Hamul.

And the sons of Zerah were Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara, all of them five.

Carmi's son was Achar, who became Israel's troublemaker by transgressing the LORD's commandment regarding things that were to be destroyed.

The sons of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Caleb.

And their sisters [were] Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.

Zeruiah's three sons were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel. Abigail bore Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.

And Caleb the son of Hezron fathered children by Azubah his wife and by Jerioth. And these [were] her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

And Geshur and Aram took Havvoth-Jair from them, Kenath and its villages, sixty cities. All these [were] the {descendants} of Makir, the father of Gilead.

And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.

The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.

And the sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai [were] Nadab and Abishur.

And the sons of Nadab [were] Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.

Shammai's brother Jada's descendants were Jether and Jonathan, but Jether died childless.

And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the children of Jerahmeel.

And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn; he [was] the father of Ziph. The sons of Mareshah: Hebron.

And the sons of Hebron [were] Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.

And the sons of Jahdai [were] Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.

And Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, Sheva, the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea; and Caleb's daughter was Achsah. These were the sons of Caleb.

These were the {descendants} of Caleb. The sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-Jearim,

The sons of Shobal, the father of Kiriath Jearim, were Haroeh, half of the Manahathites,

And the families of Kirjath-jearim were the Jithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zoreathites and the Eshtaolites.

Salma's descendants were Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.

And the families of the scribes who lived [at] Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Sucathites. These [were] the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Recab.

These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite;

Six were born to him in Hebron. And he reigned there seven years and six months. And he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

The sons of Jehoiakim were Jeconiah his son, whose son was Zedekiah.

The sons of Jeconiah the Prisoner were Shealtiel,

And the sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. And the sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah, and Shelomith their sister,

The five others were Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed.

The sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shecaniah.

Shecaniah's son was Shemaiah, and the six sons of Shemaiah were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat.

And the sons of Neariah were Elioenai, and Hezekiah, and Azrikam, three.

And the sons of Elioenai were, Hodaiah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Delaiah, and Anani, seven.

The sons of Judah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

And Reaiah the son of Shobal fathered Jahath, and Jahath fathered Ahumai and Lahad. These [were] the clans of the Zorathites.

And these [were] the sons of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash. And the name of their sister [was] Hazzelelponi,

and Penuel [was] the father of Gedor, and Ezer [was] the father of Hushah. These [were] the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.

These were the descendants of Hur, Ephrathah's firstborn, who fathered Bethlehem: Tekoa's father Ashhur had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

And Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari. These [were] the sons of Naarah.

The sons of Helah were Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.

And Jabez will call to God of Israel, saying, If blessing, thou wilt bless me and enlarge my bound, and thine hand were with me, and didst me from evil, so as not to afflict me! And God will bring what he asked.

And Eshton begot Bethrapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the city of Nahash: these were the men of Rechah.

Kenaz's descendants were Othniel and Seraiah.

And Meonothai begot Ophrah: and Seraiah begot Joab, the father of the valley of craftsmen; for they were craftsmen.

The descendants of Jephunneh's son Caleb were Iru, Elah, and Naam. Elah's son was Kenaz.

Jehallelel's descendants were Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.

And the sons of Ezra were, Jethur, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bore Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

And his Judahite wife bore Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these [were] the sons of Bithiah daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered married.

The sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, [were] the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.

And the sons of Shimon were, Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi were, Zoheth, and Benzoheth.

The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were, Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

And Jokim and the men of Cozeba, and Joash and Saraph, which were inhabited in Moab, but returned to Lehem and to Debarim-Aikim.

These were the potters, and those that abode among plantations and enclosures: there they dwelt with the king for his work.

The sons of Simeon were Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul:

Mishma's descendants were his son Hammuel, his son Zaccur, and his son Shimei.

Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters. But his brethren had not many children, neither were the kindreds of them like to the children of Judah in multitude.

And they were living at Beer-sheba and Moladah and Hazar-shual,

and at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-biri, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities until the reign of David.

And their villages were Etam and Ain, Rimmon and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities;

and all their villages that were round about these cities, as far as Baal. These were their habitations and their genealogical register.

Their clan leaders were: Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah son of Amaziah,

these mentioned by name were princes in their families; and their fathers' houses increased greatly.

And they found fat and good pasture, and a land widely extended and quiet and fertile, for they who had dwelt there formerly were of Ham.

And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their stead; for there was pasture there for their flocks.

And some of them from the Simeonites went to Mount Seir, five hundred men. And Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, [were] under their leadership.

And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.

The sons of Reuben, Israel's firstborn -- (Now he was the firstborn, but when he defiled his father's bed, his rights as firstborn were given to the sons of Joseph, Israel's son. So Reuben is not listed as firstborn in the genealogical records.
