And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why have you thus dealt with us? behold, your father and I have sought you sorrowing.

But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, Why reason you in your hearts?

But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?

And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but you eat and drink?

And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do you that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

And why behold you the speck that is in your brother's eye, but perceive not the beam that is in your own eye?

And why call me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

If you then be not able to do that thing which is least, why are you anxious concerning the rest?

Yea, and why even of yourselves judge you not what is right?

Then said he unto the vinedresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbers it the ground?

And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good? none is good, except one, that is, God.

Why then gave not you my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?

And if any man asks you, Why do you loose him? thus shall you say unto him, Because the Lord has need of him.

And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose you the colt?

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why do you test me?

And said unto them, Why sleep you? rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil has he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the ground, they said unto them, Why seek you the living among the dead?

And he said unto them, Why are you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
