They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven.”

They were amazed and astonished, saying, “Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?

these men are not drunk, as you imagine. Why, it is only nine in the morning!

That is why my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices, yes, even my body still rests securely in hope.

When Peter saw this, he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Or why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?

Why, all the prophets from Samuel down, who have spoken, have also foretold these days.

You said through the Holy Spirit, by the mouth of our father David Your servant:

and ask'd him, why did you go to eat with the uncircumcised?

"If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we first believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, why, who was I to be able to thwart God?"

But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard it, they rent their clothes and sprang in among the people, crying out and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things?
