But He, answering, said, "It has been written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"

and, opening His mouth, He taught them, saying,

"Broods of vipers! how can ye speak good things, being yourselves evil? For, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world."

Not that which enters into the mouth defiles the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth??his defiles the man."

Do ye not perceive that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and is cast forth into the drain?

But the things that proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and these defile the man.
