And she had endured many [things] under many physicians, and had spent {all that she had} and had received no [help] at all, but instead {became worse}.
Immediately Jesus became aware that power had gone out of him. So he turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"
But the woman became afraid and trembled with fear, for she knew what had happened to her [i.e., the healing], so she came and fell down in front of Jesus and told Him the whole truth.
And the king Herod heard, (for his name became public,) and he said -- 'John the Baptist out of the dead was raised, and because of this the mighty powers are working in him.'
It was because Herod was afraid of John, knowing he was a righteous and holy man, so he protected him. And Herod became very disturbed whenever he listened to John, yet he heard him gladly.
And the king, who became exceeding sorry, did not want to refuse her because of the oaths, and of those dining together.
And his ears became open, and the band of his tongue was made loose, and his words became clear.
Six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured (changed in form) before them [and began to shine brightly with divine and regal glory];
And his clothing became shining, very white, as no cleaner on earth would make it.
For he knew not what to answer; for they became sore afraid.
And immediately the whole multitude, seeing Him, became excited, and running to Him, seized Him; and He asked the scribes,
And they took him to him: and when he saw him, the spirit in him straight away became violent; and he went down on the earth, rolling about and streaming at the lips.
And after crying out and shaking him violently, it came out: and the child became like one dead; so that most of them said, He is dead.
When Jesus saw this, he became furious and told them, "Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom of God belongs to people like these.
But his face became sad at the saying, and he went away sorrowing: for he was one who had much property.
And hearing this, the ten became very angry with James and John.
And when it became evening he went forth outside of the city.
He took Peter, James, and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.
And when it became noon there was darkness over the entire land until three o'clock in the afternoon.
That woman, having gone, informed those who became with him, as they mourned and wept.
