For I feared you, because you are a severe man: you take up what you laid not down, and reap what you did not sow.
And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that has ten pounds.
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, who should pretend themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
And they asked him, saying, Teacher, we know that you say and teach rightly, neither do you regard any person, but teach the way of God truly:
And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marveled at his answer, and held their peace.
Saying, Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother dies, having a wife, and he dies without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up children for his brother.
There were therefore seven brothers: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
And the second took her as wife, and he died childless.
And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
And he said, Take heed that you be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go not therefore after them.

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Then said he unto them, But now, he that has a purse, let him take it, and likewise his bag: and he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Then they took him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulcher that was hewn in stone, in which never man before was laid.
And it came to pass, as he sat to eat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave to them.
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things away; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
Jesus said unto him, Rise, take up your bed, and walk.
And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and that same day was the sabbath.
He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up your bed, and walk.
Then asked they him, What man is that who said unto you, Take up your bed, and walk?
Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

Then said the Jews among themselves, Where will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out.
Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, said unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he has been dead four days.
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
Jesus said unto her, Woman, why do you weep? whom do you seek? She, supposing him to be the gardener, said unto him, Sir, if you have borne him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.

And they are informed of you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
Them take, and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, of which they were informed concerning you, are nothing; but that you yourself also walk orderly, and keep the law.
Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to announce the accomplishment of the days of purification, until an offering should be offered for every one of them.
And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and immediately the doors were shut.
