And Jesus answering said to them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and do not doubt, not only shall ye do what is done to the fig-tree, but even if ye should say to this mountain, Be thou taken away and be thou cast into the sea, it shall come to pass.
And Jesus answering said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things:
And answering Jesus they said, We do not know. He also said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Which of the two did the will of the father? They say to him, The first. Jesus says to them, Verily I say unto you that the tax-gatherers and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
And the Pharisees being gathered together, Jesus demanded of them,
Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples,
And Jesus went forth and went away from the temple, and his disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you.
And it came to pass when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples,
and took counsel together in order that they might seize Jesus by subtlety and kill him;
But Jesus knowing it said to them, Why do ye trouble the woman? for she has wrought a good work toward me.
Now on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the passover.
And as they were eating, Jesus, having taken the bread and blessed, broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
Then saith Jesus to them, All ye shall be offended in me during this night. For it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, that during this night, before the cock shall crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Then Jesus comes with them to a place called Gethsemane, and says to the disciples, Sit here until I go away and pray yonder.
And immediately coming up to Jesus he said, Hail, Rabbi, and covered him with kisses.
But Jesus said to him, My friend, for what purpose art thou come? Then coming up they laid hands upon Jesus and seized him.
And behold, one of those with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and smiting the bondman of the high priest took off his ear.
Then saith Jesus to him, Return thy sword to its place; for all who take the sword shall perish by the sword.
In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and sticks to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye did not seize me.
Now they that had seized Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrim sought false witness against Jesus, so that they might put him to death.
But Jesus was silent. And the high priest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God that thou tell us if thou art the Christ the Son of God.
Jesus says to him, Thou hast said. Moreover, I say to you, From henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
But Peter sat without in the palace-court; and a maid came to him, saying, And thou wast with Jesus the Galilaean.
And when he had gone out into the entrance, another maid saw him, and says to those there, This man also was with Jesus the Nazaraean.
And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who had said to him, Before the cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went forth without, and wept bitterly.
And when it was morning all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus so that they might put him to death.
But Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor questioned him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, Thou sayest.
They therefore being gathered together, Pilate said to them, Whom will ye that I release to you, Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?
But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds that they should beg for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
Pilate says to them, What then shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified.
Then he released to them Barabbas; but Jesus, having scourged him, he delivered up that he might be crucified.
Then the soldiers of the governor, having taken Jesus with them to the praetorium, gathered against him the whole band,
And they set up over his head his accusation written: This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.
but about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
And Jesus, having again cried with a loud voice, gave up the ghost.
But the centurion, and they who were with him on guard over Jesus, seeing the earthquake and the things that took place, feared greatly, saying, Truly this man was Son of God.
And there were there many women beholding from afar off, who had followed Jesus from Galilee ministering to him,
Now when even was come there came a rich man of Arimathaea, his name Joseph, who also himself was a disciple to Jesus.
He, going to Pilate, begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up.
And the angel answering said to the women, Fear not ye, for I know that ye seek Jesus the crucified one.
And as they went to bring his disciples word, behold also, Jesus met them, saying, Hail! And they coming up took him by the feet, and did him homage.
Then Jesus says to them, Fear not; go, bring word to my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.
But the eleven disciples went into Galilee to the mountain which Jesus had appointed them.
And Jesus coming up spoke to them, saying, All power has been given me in heaven and upon earth.
Beginning of the glad tidings of Jesus Christ, Son of God;
And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptised by John at the Jordan.
But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom of God,
And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him.
But Jesus, moved with compassion, having stretched out his hand, touched him, and says to him, I will, be thou cleansed.
But Jesus, seeing their faith, says to the paralytic, Child, thy sins are forgiven thee.
And straightway Jesus, knowing in his spirit that they are reasoning thus within themselves, said to them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
And it came to pass as he lay at table in his house, that many tax-gatherers and sinners lay at table with Jesus and his disciples; for they were many, and they followed him.
And Jesus having heard it says to them, They that are strong have not need of a physician, but those who are ill. I have not come to call righteous men, but sinners.
And Jesus said to them, Can the sons of the bride-chamber fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.
And Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea; and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
But seeing Jesus from afar off, he ran and did him homage,
and crying with a loud voice he says, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, torment me not.
And Jesus immediately allowed them. And the unclean spirits going out entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep slope, into the sea (about two thousand), and were choked in the sea.
And they come to Jesus, and they see the possessed of demons sitting and clothed and sensible, him that had had the legion: and they were afraid.
And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
And Jesus having passed over in the ship again to the other side, a great crowd gathered to him; and he was by the sea.
having heard concerning Jesus, came in the crowd behind and touched his clothes;
And immediately Jesus, knowing in himself the power that had gone out of him, turning round in the crowd said, Who has touched my clothes?
But Jesus immediately, having heard the word spoken, says to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.

And the apostles are gathered together to Jesus. And they related to him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught.
And on leaving the ship Jesus saw a great crowd, and he was moved with compassion for them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.
But Jesus said to her, Suffer the children to be first filled; for it is not right to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.
And Jesus knowing it, says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart yet hardened?
And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?
And after six days Jesus takes with him Peter and James and John, and takes them up on a high mountain by themselves apart. And he was transfigured before them:
And there appeared to them Elias with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
And Peter answering says to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good that we should be here; and let us make three tabernacles, for thee one, and for Moses one, and for Elias one.
And suddenly having looked around, they no longer saw any one, but Jesus alone with themselves.
And Jesus said to him, The 'if thou couldst' is if thou couldst believe: all things are possible to him that believes.
But Jesus, seeing that the crowd was running up together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
But Jesus, having taken hold of him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.
But Jesus said, Forbid him not; for there is no one who shall do a miracle in my name, and be able soon after to speak ill of me;
And Jesus answering said to them, In view of your hard-heartedness he wrote this commandment for you;
But Jesus seeing it, was indignant, and said to them, Suffer the little children to come to me; forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? no one is good but one, that is God.
And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, One thing lackest thou: go, sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.
And Jesus looking around says to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
And the disciples were amazed at his words. And Jesus again answering says to them, Children, how difficult it is that those who trust in riches should enter into the kingdom of God!
But Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.
Jesus answering said, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,
And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them; and they were amazed, and were afraid as they followed. And taking the twelve again to him, he began to tell them what was going to happen to him:
And Jesus said to them, Ye do not know what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup which I drink, or be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with?
And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, The cup that I drink ye will drink and with the baptism that I am baptised with ye will be baptised,
