"Tell us," they said, "what authority you have for acting in this way? Who was it that gave you this authority?"
And if we say, 'From men,' the whole of the people will stone us, for they are convinced John was a prophet."
Now at the resurrection whose wife will she be? She was wife to the seven of them."
Some of the scribes declared, "Teacher, that was a fine answer!"
Now the feast of unleavened bread which is called the passover was near.
They went off and found it was as he had told them. So they prepared the passover,

A maidservant who noticed him sitting by the fire took a long look at him and said, "That fellow was with him too."
About an hour had passed when another man insisted, "That fellow really was with him. Why, he is a Galilean!"
"Man," said Peter, "I do not know what you mean." Instantly, just as he was speaking, the cock crowed;
When Pilate heard that, he asked if the man was a Galilean,
and ascertaining that he came under the jurisdiction of Herod, he remitted him to Herod, who himself was in Jerusalem during those days.
Herod was greatly delighted to see Jesus; he had long wanted to see him, because he had heard about him and also because he hoped to see him perform some miracle.
(This was a man who had been put into prison on account of a riot which had taken place in the city and also on a charge of murder.)
Pilate gave sentence that their demand was to be carried out;
He was followed by a large multitude of the people and also of women who beat their breasts and lamented him;
(For there was an inscription over him in Greek and Latin and Hebrew characters, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.)
By this time it was about twelve o'clock, and darkness covered the whole land till three o'clock,
owing to an eclipse of the sun; the curtain in the middle of the temple was torn in two.

THE Logos existed in the very beginning, the Logos was with God, the Logos was divine.

Two days later a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee; the mother of Jesus was present,
