And, coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, "Whence hath this Man this wisdom, and the mighty works?
And, behold, a Canaanitish woman, having come forth out of those borders, cried out, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon!"
And, behold, two blind men, sitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried, saying, "Lord, have mercy on us, Thou Son of David!"
But the multitude rebuked them, that they should be silent. But they cried the more, "Lord, have mercy on us, Thou Son of David!"
And the multitudes, who were going before Him, and those who were following, were crying, saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He Who cometh in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"
And the high-priests and scribes, seeing the wonderful things which He did, and the boys who were crying in the temple, and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" were much displeased,
saying, "What think ye concerning the Christ? Whose Son is He?" They say to Him, "David's."
He saith to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,
If, then, David calls Him Lord, how is He his Son?"
And, if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and make you devoid of care,"
And He said to them, "Did ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he and those who were with him?
And He taught them many things in parables, and said to them in His teaching,
And the apostles gather themselves together to Jesus; and they reported to Him all things, whatsoever they did, and whatsoever they taught.
And, hearing that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, "Son of David! Jesus! have mercy on me!"
And many were rebuking him, that he should be silent. But he kept crying much more, "Son of David! have mercy on me!"
Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the Highest!"
And Jesus, answering, said, while teaching in the temple, "How do the scribes say that the Christ is David's Son?
David himself said in the Holy Spirit, 'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit on My right hand, until I put Thy enemies underneath Thy feet.'
David himself calls Him Lord; and whence is He his Son?" And the great multitude heard Him gladly.
to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the name of the virgin was Mary.
He shall be great, and shall be called Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His father David;

And those going before were rebuking him, that he should be silent; but he kept crying out much more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
And He said to them, "How say they that the Christ is David's Son?
For David himself says in the book of Psalms, 'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand,
David, therefore, calls Him Lord; and how is He his Son?"
It has been written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Every one who heard from the Father, and learned, comes to Me.
Did not the Scriptures say, that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
Jesus, therefore, said, "When ye lift up the Son of Man, then will ye know that I am He; and, of Myself, I do nothing, but, as the Father taught Me, I speak these things.
Jesus answered, "I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews assemble together; and in secret I spake nothing.
"Brethren, it was necessary that the Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spake beforehand, through the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who arrested Jesus;
Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven;
For David says concerning Him, 'I beheld the Lord in my presence continually; because He is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.
"Brethren! It is permitted to speak to you freely concerning the patriarch David, that he both died, and was buried; and his tomb is among us till this day;
For David did not ascend into Heaven; but he himself says, 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit at My right hand,
Who, through the Holy Spirit by the mouth of our father David, Thy servant, didst say, 'Why did the gentiles rage, and the peoples premeditate empty things?
which also our fathers, having received in succession, brought in with Joshua, in taking possession of the nations which God thrust out before the face of our fathers, until the days of David;
And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
New a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of a band, called the Italian band??2 devout, and fearing God with all his house, giving many alms to the people, and praying to God continually??3 saw in a vision manifestly, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, "Cornelius!"
And, when the angel who was talking to him departed, having called two of his household servants and a devout soldier of those attending him;
and, having found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass that, even for a whole year, they met together in the assembly, and taught a great multitude; and that the disciples got the name "Christian" first in Antioch.
and, having removed him, He raised up for them David to be their king; to whom bearing testimony, He said, 'I found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will.'
And that He raised Him up from the dead no more to return to corruption, He hath thus spoken, 'I will give to you the holy and faithful promises of David.'
For David, indeed, having served his own generation according to the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption;
And, the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, indeed, speaking to them, were persuading them to continue in the grace of God.
But the Jews urged on the devout and reputable women, and the principal men of the city, and stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out of their borders;
'After these things I will return; and I will build again the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; and the ruins thereof will I build again; and I will set it up;
And some of them were persuaded, and cast in their lot with Paul and Silas; also, of the devout Greeks, a great number; and, of the principal women, not a few.
So, he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the market-place every day with those who met him.
And one Ananias, a devout, man according to the law, well spoken of by all the resident Jews,
concerning His Son, Who was born of the seed of David, according to His flesh,

for neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through revelation of Jesus Christ.
But let him who is being taught in the word share with him who is teaching, in all good things.
if, indeed, ye heard Him, and were taught in Him, as truth is in Jesus;
having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith as ye were taught, abounding with thanksgiving.
