And he made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock;

and he will set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left.


Cry out and shout, thou inhabitress of Zion; for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee, before the sons of men! Thou keepest them concealed in the secret of thy presence from the conspiracies of man; thou hidest them in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.


When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs.












Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, ye shall be as wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.

Who are these that come flying as a cloud, and as doves to their dove-cotes?


They shall return and sit under his shadow; they shall revive as corn, and blossom as the vine: the renown thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

I went down into the garden of nuts, To see the verdure of the valley, To see whether the vine budded, Whether the pomegranates blossomed.


And now, if ye will hearken to my voice indeed and keep my covenant, then shall ye be my own possession out of all the peoples for all the earth is mine --

The sons of Zion, so precious, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out its roots by the stream, and he shall not see when heat cometh, but his leaf shall be green; and in the year of drought he shall not be careful, neither shall he cease to yield fruit.


But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.

His shoots shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.



But now the members are many, and the body one.



Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abide in the vine, thus neither can ye unless ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.


One basket had very good figs, like the figs first ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten for badness. And Jehovah said unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so will I regard for good them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans; and I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land; and I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Jehovah; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.


{A Song of degrees.} They that confide in Jehovah are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved; it abideth for ever. Jerusalem! mountains are round about her, and Jehovah is round about his people, from henceforth and for evermore.


Take thy share in suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one going as a soldier entangles himself with the affairs of life, that he may please him who has enlisted him as a soldier.

But these, as natural animals without reason, made to be caught and destroyed, speaking injuriously in things they are ignorant of, shall also perish in their own corruption,
