Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

Sheol is naked before God , And Abaddon hath no covering.

Doth not he see my ways, And number all my steps?

For his eyes are upon the ways of a man, And he seeth all his goings.

And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do his commandments : His praise endureth for ever.

O Jehovah, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: The earth is full of thy riches.

With God is wisdom and might; He hath counsel and understanding.

Jehovah by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding he established the heavens.

Who should not fear thee, O King of the nations? for to thee doth it appertain; forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like unto thee.

Only Jehovah give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel; that so thou mayest keep the law of Jehovah thy God.

Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it is from the hand of God. For who can eat, or who can have enjoyment, more than I? For to the man that pleaseth him God giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. For the upright shall dwell in the land, And the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the land, And the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.

So teach us to number our days, That we may get us a heart of wisdom.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it , do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

Yea, if thou cry after discernment, And lift up thy voice for understanding;

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; But he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.

By pride cometh only contention; But with the well-advised is wisdom.

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; But he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

For, I think, God hath set forth us the apostles last of all, as men doomed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, both to angels and men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye have glory, but we have dishonor.

Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding; But that which is in the inward part of fools is made known.

Who is wise and understanding among you? let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth. For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.

Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, That they are vanity.

We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God. In the lips of him that hath discernment wisdom is found; But a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.
