To the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation says this:
The heavens were made by the word of Jehovah, and by the breath of his mouth their entire host.
But to us there is but one God, the Father. All things come from him and we live for him. And there is one Lord Jesus Christ. All things were made through him and we were made through him.
To make all men see what is the administration of the secret which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things.
Long ago on many occasions and in many ways God spoke to our fathers through the prophets. He has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, through whom he made the ages (Greek: aion: ages of time, perpetuity, worlds, generations, human entities).

By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the Word of God. The visible has been made out of things that were not visible.
For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God, by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. According to the same word, the heavens that now are, and the earth, are reserved for fire, being kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. By believing you may have life in his name.
May they all be united (in agreement) as one. Just as you, Father, are with me, and I am with you. Help them be united with us! That way the world may believe that you sent me.
Jehovah said to Moses: I will come to you in a thick cloud. The people will hear me speaking with you and will believe you from now on. Moses gave Jehovah the people's answer.

People may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand (power) of Jehovah has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Paul said: John baptized with the baptism of repentance. He told the people they should believe in Jesus, the one who came after John.
This was according to the words of Isaiah the prophet: The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make ready the way of Jehovah. Make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled. Every mountain and hill shall be brought low. The crooked shall become straight and the rough ways smooth. All flesh shall see the salvation of God. (Isaiah 40:3-6)

John was clothed in camel's hair with a leather belt about his loins. He ate locusts and wild honey. He told the people: The man who comes after me is greater than I am. I am not worthy to stoop down and untie his shoes. I baptized (immersed) you with water, but he will baptize (Greek: baptizo: immerse, submerge) you with Holy Spirit.

Your child will be called the prophet of the Most High. You will go in advance of Jehovah God to make his ways ready. He summoned the twelve and sent them forth in pairs. They were given authority over the unclean spirits.
He called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

They reasoned among themselves which of them was the greatest. When Jesus detected the reasoning of their heart, he took a little child, and set him by his side. I will deny, before my heavenly Father, anyone who denies me before men. Do not think I came to bring peace on the earth. I came not to bring peace, but a sword. My coming will cause a separation. All may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father that sent him.
