Do not seek revenge. Never hold a grudge against any of your people. Instead, love your neighbor as you love yourself. I am Jehovah.

Owe no man any thing but to love one another. He that loves another has fulfilled (obeyed) the law. For the Law code says: You must not commit adultery, you must not murder, you must not steal, you must not bear false witness, and you must not covet. If there is any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying; namely, you must love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no ill to his neighbor. Therefore love is the law's fulfillment.

Let us follow after the things that make for peace, and things that are encouraging to one another.

It is good neither to eat food, nor to drink wine, nor any thing that causes your brother to stumble or be offended and weakened.

We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens. We should not just please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not arrogant (proud). Love does not act indecently. It is not selfish. It is not provoked and does not take into account a wrong suffered. Love does not rejoice with evil, but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails. Where there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away. Where there are tongues, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away.

Faith, hope and love remain. These three! The greatest of these is love!

Do everything with love.

If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort. It works through patience and longsuffering and is the same sufferings that we also suffer.

as also you did acknowledge us in part, that we are your reason to be proud, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

For you brothers, were called for freedom; only do not use your freedom for an occasion to the flesh. Serve one another through love!

Let us not become egotistical, stirring up competition with one another, envying one another.

Brothers, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right. But you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourselves, so that you will not be tempted, too. Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

Walk with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, putting up with one another in love.

You should be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also forgave you through (by means of) Christ.

Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us. He was an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling odor.

We always pray for you, and thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for you. We have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have for all the holy ones.

As God's chosen, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness (humility), meekness (mildness), and long-suffering (patience). Tolerate (endure) (suffer) (put up with) one another, and forgive each other. If any man has a complaint against anyone, forgive them, even as God forgave you. Above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection and unity.

And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.

I do not need to write you about brotherly love. For God taught you to love one another.

Comfort each other and strengthen one another as you are doing.

For God is not unrighteous (unjust) to forget your work and the love you showed for his name. You ministered to the holy ones and continue to minister.

Let us consider one another to encourage love and good works:

You should continue to love one another as brothers. Show hospitality to strangers, for some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them. Remember those who are suffering, as though you were suffering as they are.

When you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture: You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well.

You have purified your hearts by obeying the truth. You have genuine affection for the brothers and sisters. So always love one another intensely (extremely) (deeply) from the heart.

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Reverence and respect God. Honor the king.

Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, brotherly, tenderhearted, and humble. Do not repay evil for evil, or insult for insult. Do just the opposite. For you were called to inherit a blessing.

Above all things have intense love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Add brotherly kindness to your godliness. And to your brotherly kindness add love.

He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in the darkness! He who loves his brother lives in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling (offence) in him. But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness. He does not know where he goes because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed. Whoever does not practice righteousness is not from God. He who does not love his brother is not from God. This is the message you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another! We should not be like Cain who was of the evil one, and killed his brother. Why did he murder him? Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.

By this we know love, because he (Jesus) gave his life for us. We ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. Whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him? If a man says, I love God, yet he hates his brother, he is a liar! He who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. We have this commandment from him, that he who loves God should love his brother also.

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves him that causes the birth also loves him that is born. This is how we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

Now I ask you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
