Wickedness and lawlessness will increase. The love of many will grow cold. The person who endures to the end will be saved. The good news of the kingdom will be preached in the entire world for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.

When you hear of wars and rumors (reports) of wars do not be troubled. These things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines. These things are the beginning of pain (sorrow) (trouble). Be on guard for they will deliver you up to courts. You will be beaten in the meeting places. You will be taken before governors and kings for a testimony to them for my sake. read more.

Do you not know that they who minister about holy things live off the things of the temple? And they who wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so, has the Lord ordained that they who preach the good news should earn their living from the good news?

My little children, I write you these things that you may not sin. If any man sin, we have an Advocate (intercessor) (comforter) (helper) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous! How will they preach unless they have been sent? He commanded us to preach to the people. We testify that he was ordained by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify that through his name whoever believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins.

For the preaching of the stake is foolishness to those who perish. It is the power of God to us who are saved. It is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. (Isaiah 29:14) Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? This is the wisdom of God that the world through its wisdom did not come to know God. God was well pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. Indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom. We preach Christ impaled. It is a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the nations! To those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, it is Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Now when I came to Troas for the good news of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord, I had no relief for my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother: but leaving them, I went to Macedonia. For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God. We are an aroma for those who are saved and those who perish. To the one an aroma of death leading to death and to the other an aroma from life to life. I am amazed that you so quickly turned away from the One who called you by the grace of Christ. You turned to different good news. Yet this is not another good news. The Law of Moses and the writings of the prophets was in effect until John the Baptist. From that time on the Good News about the Kingdom of God is being taught. It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest detail of the Law to be eliminated.

Be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist (preacher of the good news), and fulfill your ministry.

If any man speaks, speak as it were utterances of God. If any man ministers, minister with the strength which God supplies! May God be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. The glory and dominion belong to God forever and ever. Amen.
