the Human nature of Christ » Was necessary to his mediatorial office
For by a man came death, and by a man came resurrection of the dead.
But when the time was full come, God sent his son - born of a woman, and made bond unto the law - to redeem them which were under the law: that we through election might receive the inheritance that belongeth unto the natural sons.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, which is the man Christ Jesus,
Wherefore in all things it became him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be merciful, and a faithful high priest in things concerning God, for to purge the people's sins.
I will speak grossly because of the infirmity of your flesh. As ye have given your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, from iniquity unto iniquity: even so now give your members servants unto righteousness, that ye may be sanctified.
What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law: but under grace? God forbid.

For the law maketh men priests, which have infirmity: but the word of the oath that came since the law, maketh the son priest, which is perfect for evermore.
For we have not a high priest, which cannot have compassion on our infirmities: but was in all points tempted, as we are: but yet without sin.

And ye know that he appeared to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him.
Such a high priest it becometh us to have, which is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than heaven.
"Which of you can rebuke me of sin? If I say the truth, why do not ye believe me?
which did no sin, neither was there guile found in his mouth:
Pilate said unto him, "What thing is truth?" And when he had said that, he went out again unto the Jews, and said unto them, "I find in him no cause at all.

Moreover, I will put hatred between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed. And that seed shall tread thee on the head, and thou shalt tread it on the heel."
Lo: thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

and say unto him, 'Take heed to thyself and be still, but fear not, neither be fainthearted for these two tails: that is, for these two smoking firebrands, the wrath and furiousness of Rezin the Syrian and Remaliah's son.
How long wilt thou go astray, O thou shrinking daughter? For the LORD will work a new thing upon earth: A woman shall compass a man.

for unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And she brought forth her first begotten son. And wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them within, in the inn.
saying, "Where is he that is born King of the Jews? We have seen his star in the East and are come to worship him."
Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born that Jesus, that is called Christ.

To Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, "in the seeds," as in many: But, "in thy seed," as in one, which is Christ.
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voice."
For he in no place taketh on him the angels: but the seed of Abraham taketh he on him.

Then said Jesus unto them, "My soul is heavy even unto the death. Tarry ye here: and watch with me."

That which was from the beginning, declare we unto you; which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life. For the life appeared: and we have seen, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the father, and appeared unto us.

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou laid to rest with thy fathers, then I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy body, and will establish his kingdom.

For Moses said unto the fathers, 'A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, even of your brethren, like unto me: him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
Nevertheless, he made himself of no reputation, and took on him the shape of a servant, and became like unto men, and was found in his apparel as a man. He humbled himself and became obedient unto the death, even the death of the cross.
