It is written in the prophets: Jehovah shall teach them all. Every one who hears the Father and has learned comes to me. (Jeremiah 31:34)
Your sons will all be taught by Jehovah. Your sons will have an abundance of peace.
The reason is because I am Jehovah your God. You must live holy lives. Consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am holy. Never become unclean by touching anything that swarms or crawls on the ground. I am Jehovah! I brought you out of Egypt to be your God. Be holy because I am holy.
One of his disciples said: Lord, first allow me to go bury my father. But Jesus said to him: Follow me; and leave the dead to bury their own dead.
Tell the entire congregation of Israel: 'Be holy because I, Jehovah your God, am holy.

Jesus called them and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and went with Jesus.

But you did not learn Christ that way. You learned him and were taught by him just as truth is in Jesus.

For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself. For if we live, we live to God and if we die, we die to God. Therefore should we live or die, we are God's.
For this you were called because Christ also suffered for you. He left you an example (a copy for imitation) (a model) that you should follow in his steps.
From now on you must live the rest of your earthly lives controlled by God's will and not by human desires (lusts).

He who wants to save his life will lose it. He who is willing to lose his life for my sake will find it.
Jesus moved on. He then saw Matthew seated at his work collecting taxes. He said to him: Follow me. He rose and followed him.
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you a spirit (mental disposition) of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

God revealed to the prophets that the things they spoke were not for their own benefit but for yours. The Holy Spirit was sent from heaven to make known to you what the prophets spoke. Those who spread the good news to you did this. These are things even the angels want to look into.

You know what you must do to imitate us. We lived a disciplined life among you.
Put on (live like) (clothe yourself with) the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make provision for the desires of the flesh.
We all, with unveiled face, behold as in a mirror the glory of God and are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, exactly as from God's Spirit.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show righteousness towards their own family, and to repay their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

Jesus called them together and said: You know that those who rule over the nations lord it over them. Their great ones exercise authority over them. It is not so among you. He that has my commandments, and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the person who loves me. I will love him and disclose myself to him.

Whatever we ask we receive from Him because we obey His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
For this is the love of God, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to observe all the things I have commanded you. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill may be seen by all. A light is not placed under a cover. To the contrary, it is placed on a table so all may see. Likewise, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
What you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. All men will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.
You who come to me may not be my disciple unless you love me more than you love your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters and yourself.
Likewise, concluded Jesus, none of you may be my disciples unless you give up everything you have.
Teach sound doctrine. Aged men should be temperate, serious, sound in mind, sound in faith, in love, and in endurance. Aged women likewise should be reverent in behavior and teachers of that which is good. They should not be slanderers nor enslaved to too much wine.read more.
They may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God will not be (defamed) dishonored. Urge the younger men to be sound in mind. Be an example of good works in all things, showing no corruption in your doctrine. Have sound speech that cannot be condemned so the man opposing us may be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.
On the way a man came to him and said: I will follow you wherever you go. Jesus told him: Foxes have holes and birds of heaven have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head. He told another: Follow me. But he said: Lord first let me go bury my father.read more.
Let the dead bury the dead. You go and publish abroad the kingdom of God. Jesus replied. Another said: I will follow you Lord, but first let me go say good by to my relatives. Jesus responded: No man, who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.
