For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, breaking of wedlock, whoredom, theft, false witness-bearing, blasphemy.
For from within even out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts: adultery, fornication, murder, theft, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, uncleanness, and a wicked eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin: because I know not what I do. For what I would, that do I not: but what I hate, that do I.
And when the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was increased upon the earth, and that all the imagination and thoughts of his heart was only evil continually,
And finally, when they shall have sinned against thee - for there is no man that sinneth not - and thou art angry with them and hast delivered them to their enemies, that they be carried away prisoners unto the land of their enemies, whether far or near;
They imagine wickedness, and keep it secret among themselves; every man in the deep of his heart.
And we went astray as sheep, and turned every man his way: and the LORD put on him the wickedness of us all.
inasmuch as when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful: but waxed full of vanities in their imaginations. And their foolish hearts were blinded.
There is no difference: For all have sinned, and lack the praise that is of valour before God:
But the scripture concluded all things under sin, that the promise by the faith of Jesus Christ should be given unto them that believe.
This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these ordinances and laws. Keep them, therefore, and do them with all thine heart and all thy soul.
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, as ye have always obeyed - not when I was present only, but now much more in mine absence - even so work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Keep therefore his ordinances, and his commandments which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee and with thy children after thee and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth which the LORD thy God giveth thee forever."
But see that ye keep the commandments of the LORD your God, his witnesses and his ordinances which he hath commanded thee,
Let not the book of this law depart out of thy mouth: but record therein day and night that thou mayest be circumspect to do according to all that is written therein. For then shalt thou make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have understanding.
But in any wise take exceeding good heed that ye do the commandment and law which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you: which is, that ye love the LORD your God, and walk in his ways and keep his commandments, and cleave unto him, and serve him with all your hearts and all your souls."
And see that thou keep the appointment of the LORD thy God, that thou walk in his ways and keep his commandments, ordinances, laws and testimonies, even as it is written in the law of Moses: that thou mayest understand all that thou oughtest to do, and all that thou shouldest meddle with.
And if thou shalt hearken unto all that I command thee, and shalt walk in my ways and do that is right in my sight, that thou keep mine ordinances and commandments as David my servant did: then will I be with thee and build thee a house that shall continue, as I built for my servant David, and will give Israel unto thee.
And the LORD testified to Israel and to Judah, by all the prophets and by all the seers, saying, "Turn from your wicked ways and keep my commandments and mine ordinances according to all the laws which I commanded your fathers, and as I sent to you by my servants the prophets."
but this I commanded them, saying, 'Hearken and obey my voice, and I shall be your God, and ye shall be my people: so that ye walk in all the ways, which I have commanded you, that ye may prosper.'
Ye shall therefore be perfect even as your father which is in heaven is perfect.
"Not all they that say unto me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter in to the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth my father's will which is in heaven.
He said unto him, "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, and that is, God: But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
I will speak grossly because of the infirmity of your flesh. As ye have given your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, from iniquity unto iniquity: even so now give your members servants unto righteousness, that ye may be sanctified.
Seeing that we have such promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and grow up to full holiness in the fear of God.
But thou, which art the man of God, flee such things. Follow righteousness, godliness, love, patience, and meekness.
And hereunto, give all diligence: In your faith, minister virtue; and in virtue, knowledge; and in knowledge, temperance; and in temperance, patience; in patience, godliness; in godliness, brotherly kindness; in brotherly kindness, love.
Wherefore, dearly beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and undefiled:
And now hearken, Israel, unto the ordinances and laws which I teach you, for to do them: that ye may live and go and conquer the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting; O grant me understanding, and I shall live.
For the commandment is a lantern, and the law a light: yea, chastening and nurture is the way of life:
I will show thee, O man, what is good, and what the LORD requireth of thee: Namely, to do right, to have pleasure in loving-kindness, to be lowly, and to walk with thy God.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid: but I knew not what sin meant but by the law. For I had not known what lust had meant, except the law had said, "Thou shalt not lust."
And we have not received the spirit of the world: but the spirit which cometh of God, for to know the things that are given to us of God, which things also we speak - not in the cunning words of man's wisdom, but with the cunning words of the holy ghost, making spiritual comparisons of spiritual things. For the natural man perceiveth not the things of the spirit of God, for they are but foolishness unto him: Neither can he perceive them, because he is spiritually examined.
And I will put my spirit in you, and will make that ye shall walk in mine ordinances and keep my laws and do them.
"If ye love me, keep my commandments, and I will pray the father: and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you ever, which is the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive; because the world seeth him not, neither knoweth him. But ye know him. For he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
For what the law could not do, inasmuch as it was weak because of the flesh - that performed God, and sent his son in the similitude of sinful flesh, and by sin damned sin in the flesh; that the righteousness required of the law might be fulfilled in us, which walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. For they that are carnal, are carnally minded; But they that are spiritual are spiritually minded.
But the fruit of the spirit is: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance. Against such there is no law.
But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, for because that God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctifying of the spirit; And through believing the truth:
Elect by the foreknowledge of God the father, through the sanctifying of the spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Grace be with you, and peace be multiplied.
According as his godly power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that hath called us by virtue and glory:
but that he bow our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, ordinances and customs which he commanded our fathers.
Keep thy servant also from presumptuous sins, lest they get dominion over me: so shall I be undefiled and innocent from the great offense.
I am the vine, and ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me can ye do nothing.
There hath none other temptation taken you, such as followeth the nature of man. God is faithful, which shall not suffer you to be tempted above your strength: but shall in the midst of the temptation make a way to escape out.
Put on the armour of God, that ye may stand steadfast against the crafty assaults of the devil.
For it is God which worketh in you both the will and also the deed, even of good will.
For God hath not given to us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of soberness of mind.
For in that he himself suffered, and was tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
O wretched man that I am: who shall deliver me from this body of death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord: So then I myself in my mind serve the law of God, and in my flesh the law of sin.
which shall strengthen you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
and put on that new man, which after the image of God is shapen in righteousness, and true holiness.
and the new put on; which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that made him:
and am surely certified of this, that he which began a good work in you shall go forth with it until the day of Jesus Christ,
to make your hearts that they might be stable and unblamable in holiness before God our father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints.
Dearly beloved, now are we the sons of God, and yet it doth not appear what we shall be. But we know that when it shall appear, we shall be like him. For we shall see him as he is.
For those which he knew before, he also ordained before, that they should be like fashioned unto the shape of his son, that he might be the first begotten son among many brethren.
But we all behold the glory of the Lord with his face open, and we are changed unto the same similitude, from glory to glory, even of the spirit of the Lord.
Nevertheless, we look for a new heaven, and a new earth, according to his promise, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
The son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that do offend, and all them which do iniquity, and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the just men shine as bright as the sun in the kingdom of their father. Whosoever hath ears to hear, let him hear.
But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
For without shall be dogs and enchanters, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth or maketh lies.
