You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known among the peoples.

That day Jehovah saved the people of Israel from the Egyptians. The Israelites saw them lying dead on the seashore. The Israelites saw the great power with which Jehovah had defeated the Egyptians. So they stood in awe of Jehovah. They had faith in Jehovah and in his servant Moses.

Jehovah said: Behold! I offer a covenant (promise) to perform signs and miracles for you that have never been done in all the earth. Neighboring nations will stand in fear and know that I was the one who did these marvelous things.

O Sovereign Lord Jehovah, you have begun to show me how great and powerful you are. What kind of god is there in heaven or on earth that can do the deeds and the mighty acts you have done?

Give me an answer, O Jehovah. Give me an answer so that this people may see that you are God. That you have made their hearts come back again. Then the fire of Jehovah came down. It burned up the offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and drinking up the water in the drain. When the people saw it, they all went down on their faces. They said: Jehovah is God! Jehovah is God!

He does great things that we cannot understand and miracles that we cannot count.

There is no other nation on earth like Israel. This is the nation you rescued from slavery in Egypt to be your own. You became famous by using great and wonderful miracles to force other nations and their gods out of your land, so your people could live here.

We will not conceal them from their children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, and his strength and his wondrous works that he has done.

Who is like your people Israel? Israel is the one nation on earth who's God went out to redeem a people. You redeemed your people from Egypt. You make a name for yourself, and perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations from before your people.

When he came near the demon slammed him down and through him in to a convulsion. Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. They were all overwhelmed by the greatness of God. Everyone marveled at all the things he did. Jesus said to his disciples:

These signs will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in my name. They will speak with new languages. They will pick up and handle serpents. Deadly drink will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

You men of Israel hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God came among you with miracles and wonders and signs. God did these by him in your midst, as you also know: You took this man and delivered him by the determined counsel (purpose) and foreknowledge of God. With wicked hands you impaled and murdered him. God resurrected him, loosing the pains of death. This is because it was not possible that he should be held fast by it.

Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu each took an incense burner. They put burning coals and incense in it. Then in Jehovah's presence they offered this unauthorized fire. A fire flashed from Jehovah and burned them. They died in the presence of Jehovah.

Jehovah made burning sulfur and fire rain out of the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah. He destroyed those cities, the whole Plain, all who lived in the cities, and whatever grew on the ground. Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.

The apostles stayed there for a long time. They spoke boldly by the authority of God who proved that their message about his grace was true by giving them the power to perform miracles and wonders.

After the smoke left the tent, Miriam was covered with an infectious skin disease. She was as white as snow. Aaron turned to her and saw she was covered with the disease.

How shall we escape, if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first presented by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified about it with signs, wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit given according to his will.

There the angel of Jehovah appeared to him in a flame of fire coming from the middle of a bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire but that it was not burning up. This is strange, he thought. Why is the bush not burning up? I will go closer and see.

King Jeroboam heard this. He pointed his outstretched hand at him and ordered: Seize that man! At once the king's arm became paralyzed so that he could not pull it back. The altar suddenly fell apart and the ashes spilled to the ground. This is what the prophet predicted in the name of Jehovah.

I will harden Pharaoh's heart that I may multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt. Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will use my power to punish (lay my hand upon) Egypt severely. I will bring my people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt in organized family groups.

Jehovah said to Moses: I have heard my people complain. I said to them: 'Each evening you will have meat and each morning they will have more than enough bread.' Then you will know that I am Jehovah their God.' That evening many quails came and landed everywhere in the camp, and the next morning dew covered the ground.read more.
After the dew had gone, the desert was covered with thin flakes that looked like frost. When the children of Israel saw, they said to one another: What is this? For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them: This is the bread Jehovah has given you to eat.

Then he sent an officer with fifty men to get Elijah. The officer found him sitting on a hill and said to him: Man of God, the king orders you to come down. If I am a man of God, Elijah answered: Let fire come down from heaven and kill you and your men! At once fire came down and killed the officer and his men. Uzziah held an incense burner in his hand. He became angry. As his anger with the priests grew, a skin disease broke out on his forehead. They rushed him away. Uzziah was in a hurry to get out because Jehovah had inflicted him with the disease.

He called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the complaining of the children of Israel, and because they tested Jehovah, saying: Is Jehovah among us or not?

Hearing these words Ananias fell down and died. Great fear came over all those who heard these things.

The next day Moses went into the tent. He found that Aaron's staff for the tribe of Levi had not only begun to grow, but it had also blossomed and produced ripe almonds.

Has God attempted to take a nation from the middle of another nation? Has he done this by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by great terrors? Yes, and by the use of his great power! Jehovah your God did all this for you in Egypt before your very eyes!

Look Jehovah's hand is on you. You will be blind and not see the sun for a season. Immediately there fell on him a mist and darkness. He went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

Moses cried out to Jehovah. Jehovah showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. Jehovah presented laws and rules for them to live by. He tested them there.

He said: This is what Jehovah says: 'Dig ditches all over this dry streambed (wadi). You will not see any rain or wind. This streambed will be filled with water and you and your animals will have plenty to drink. Elisha continued: This is an easy thing for Jehovah to do. Ask your neighbors for empty jars. Borrow as many as you can, Elisha told her. You and your sons go into the house and shut the door behind you. Pour oil into the jars. Set each one aside as soon as it is full. The woman went into her house with her sons. They closed the door and took the small jar of olive oil, and poured oil into the jars as her sons brought them to her.read more.
When the jars were full she asked if there were any more. That was the last one, one of her sons told her. So the olive oil stopped flowing. She returned to Elisha, the prophet. He said: Sell the olive oil and pay all your debts. There will be enough money left over for you and your sons to pay your living expenses.

Jehovah sent a wind from the sea that brought quails and dropped them all around the camp. There were quails on the ground about three feet deep as far as you could walk in a day in any direction. All that day and night and all the next day the people went out and gathered the quails. No one gathered less than sixty bushels. Then they spread the quails out all around the camp.

One of them was cutting down a tree when suddenly his ax head fell in the water. It was a borrowed ax, he exclaimed to Elisha. What will I do? Elisha said: Where did it fall? The man showed him the place. Elisha cut off a stick. Then he threw it in the water and made the ax head float. Pick it up, he ordered. The man put his hand in the water and picked it up.

Moses and Aaron assembled the congregation in front of the rock and said to them: Listen, you rebels, must we bring water out of this rock for you? Moses raised his hand and hit the rock twice with the staff. Water came pouring out! All the people and their animals drank.

Samson became very thirsty. He called to Jehovah: You gave me this great victory. Will I now die of thirst and be captured by these heathen Philistines? God opened a hollow place in the ground there at Lehi, and water came out of it. Samson drank it and felt better. The spring was named Hakkore. It still exists there at Lehi.

Evening came and the disciples approached Jesus and said: This place is desolate. Send the people away so they may go to the villages and buy themselves food. Jesus told them: They have no need to go away: you feed them. They remarked: We have only five loaves, and two fishes.read more.
Bring them to me, Jesus replied. He commanded the crowd to sit down on the grass. Then he prayed. He gave the five loaves and two fishes to the disciples to distribute to the crowd. And they all had plenty to eat. In fact they had twelve baskets full of food left over. About five thousand men, plus women and children ate.

Late in the day his disciples approached him. They said: The day is almost over and we are in a secluded place. Send them away that they may go to the country and villages nearby and buy themselves something to eat. He replied: You give them food to eat. So he did as Jehovah said, living by the Cherith Brook, east of Jordan. The ravens took him bread in the morning and meat in the evening. And he drank water from the brook.

Men from Jericho went to Elisha and said: You may know that this is a fine city but the water is bad and causes miscarriages. He ordered them: Put some salt in a new bowl and bring it to me. They brought it to him, and he went to the spring, threw the salt in the water, and said: This is what Jehovah says: 'I make this water pure. It will not cause any more deaths or miscarriages.'read more.
That water has been pure ever since, just as Elisha said it would be.

As the day wore on the twelve came to him and said: Send the people away, that they may go into the villages and country nearby to find lodging and get food, for we are here in a lonely place. He said to them: You feed them. They replied: We have no more than five loaves and two fishes unless we should go and buy food for all these people. There were about five thousand men. They did so, and made them all sit down. He took the five loaves and the two fishes. Looking up to heaven, he blessed them and broke the bread. Then he gave them to the disciples to pass out to the crowd. They ate and were all filled. Twelve baskets of left over pieces remained.

A man came from Baal Shalishah. He brought Elisha twenty loaves of bread made from the first barley harvested that year and some freshly cut heads of grain. Elisha told his servant to feed the group of prophets with this. He asked: How am I to feed a hundred hungry men with this? Elisha replied: Give it to them to eat, because Jehovah says that they will eat and still have some left over. (Matthew 14:20) So the servant set the food before them. Just as Jehovah said, they ate and had some left over.

Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming to him. He asked Philip: Where will we buy enough bread to feed them? He said this to test him for he knew what he would do. Philip answered: Two hundred shillings' worth of bread is not sufficient for everyone to take a little.read more.
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, one of his disciples said: There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish. What are these among so many? Jesus said: Make the people sit down. When they were filled he told the disciples to gather up the broken pieces left over so nothing would be wasted. They gathered twelve baskets of leftovers after everyone had eaten.

A great crowd followed him when they departed from Jericho. Two blind men sitting by the side of the road heard Jesus pass by and cried out: Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David! The crowd told them to be quiet. But they cried even more, saying: Have mercy on us, O Lord, you Son of David!read more.
Jesus stood still and asked them: What do you want me to do to you? They said: Lord give us our sight. Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Now they could see! So they followed him.

It was one of those days when there was a great crowd of people. They had nothing to eat so he called his disciples. Jesus said: I am concerned for these people because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. If I send them away to their houses with no food they will be weak and faint. They arrived at Jericho. He left there with his disciples and a large crowd. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the side of the road. When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he cried: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me! Many rebuked him that he should keep quiet. However he cried out even more: You son of David have mercy on me.read more.
Jesus stood still and said: You call him. They called the blind man saying to him, Be of good cheer: rise, he calls you. Setting aside his garment, he sprang up, and came to Jesus. Jesus responded to him: What do you want me to do for you? The blind man said to him: Teacher I want to receive my sight! Jesus told him: Go your way; your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him in the way.

Again Jesus groaned in himself. He went to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid against it. Jesus said: Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the dead man said: Lord by now the body has decayed for he has been dead four days. Jesus said to her: Did I not say that if you believe you shall see the glory of God?read more.
So they took away the stone. Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said: Father, I thank you that you hear me. I knew that you always hear me. But because of the crowd that stands here I said it, that they may believe that you did send me. After he finished he cried out loud: Lazarus, come out! He that was dead came out. He was bound hand and foot with grave-clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus commanded them: Unwrap him and let him go.

Jehovah sent poisonous snakes among the people. They bit the people, and many of the Israelites died. The people came to Moses and said: We sinned when we criticized Jehovah and you. Pray to Jehovah so that he will take the snakes away from us. So Moses prayed for the people. Jehovah said to Moses: Make a snake and put it on a pole. Naaman was a great soldier. He was commander of the Syrian army and highly respected and esteemed by the king of Syria (Aram). Jehovah gave victory to the Syrian forces through Naaman. He suffered from a dreaded skin disease. The Syrians carried off a little Israelite girl during one of their raids against Israel. The girl became a servant of Naaman's wife. She said to her mistress: I wish my master could go to the prophet who lives in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.read more.
Naaman heard of this and told the king what the girl said. The king said: Go to the king of Israel and take this letter to him. Naaman departed. He took thirty thousand pieces of silver, six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of fine clothes. The letter stated: This letter will introduce my officer Naaman. I want you to cure him of his leprosy. The king of Israel read the letter and tore his clothes and said: How can the king of Syria expect me to cure this man? Does he think that I am God, with the power of life and death? It is plain that he is trying to start a quarrel with me! When the prophet Elisha heard what happened, he sent word to the king: Why are you so upset? Send Naaman to me. I will show him that there is a prophet in Israel! Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the entrance to Elisha's house. Elisha sent a servant to tell him to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. He would then be completely cured of his disease. Naaman left in a rage, saying: I thought he would at least come out to me, pray to Jehovah his God, wave his hand over the diseased spot, and cure me! Are not the Abanah and Pharpar rivers in Damascus better than any river in Israel? I could have washed in them and been cured! His servants went up to him and said: If the prophet had told you to do something difficult, you would have done it. Now why can you not just wash yourself, as he said, and be cured? So Naaman went to the Jordan River and dipped himself in it seven times, as Elisha had instructed. He was completely cured. His flesh became firm and healthy like that of a child.

The people with one accord gave heed to those things Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the miracles he did.

They departed and went throughout the villages preaching the good news, and healing everywhere.

A man with crippled feet sat in Lystra. He had never walked for he was lame from birth. He heard Paul speaking. Paul looked intently at him, and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice: Stand up on your feet! And he leaped up and walked.

Peter and John went up to the temple at the hour of prayer. It was the ninth hour. A man who had been crippled from birth was carried to the gate of the temple called Beautiful. There he begged for handouts from those who entered the temple. Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple he begged from them.read more.
Peter and John looked at him and said: Look at us. He looked at them expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said: We have no money but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. He took him by the right hand, and lifted him up. Immediately his feet and anklebones received strength. He leaped up, stood and walked. He entered the temple with them walking, and leaping, and praising God. All the people saw him walking and praising God. They knew he was the one who begged at the Beautiful gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement because of what happened to him.

God did special miracles by the hands of Paul. Handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched his body were put on the sick and the evil spirits went away.

He found a man named Aeneas who lay in his bed for eight years. He was sick of the palsy. Peter said to him: Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole! Stand up and take your bed. And he stood up immediately.

But if I do them and you do not believe me, believe the works! That way you may know and understand that the Father is with me, and I am with the Father.

A man named Publius, who was the governor of the island, had property around the area. He welcomed us and treated us kindly. We were his guests for three days. His father was sick in bed. He suffered from fever and dysentery. Paul went to him, prayed, placed his hands on him, and made him well. After that happened, other sick people on the island went to Paul and were made well.

Aaron told them everything Jehovah had said to Moses. He also did the miraculous signs for the people. The people believed them. When they heard that Jehovah was concerned about the people of Israel and that he had seen their misery, they knelt, bowed low and worshiped.

She did this for many days. This troubled Paul. So he turned and said to the spirit, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out that very hour.

They cast out many demons. They anointed the sick with oil and healed them.

While in prison, John heard news of what Christ was doing. He sent his disciples. They asked Jesus: Are you the Expected One or should we look for another? And Jesus answered: Go tell John the things you hear and see.read more.
The blind receive their sight. The lame walk! The lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear. The dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

When the men found him they said: John the Baptist sent us. Are you the one who comes or should we look for another? In that hour he cured many diseases, plagues and evil spirits. Sight was restored to the blind. He answered John's disciples: Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard. The blind receive their sight! The lame walk and lepers are cleansed. The deaf hear! The dead are raised up and the poor have good news preached to them.

John spoke up: Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in your name. We tried to stop him because he does not follow us.

John said: Master we saw some one casting out demons in your name. So we prevented him from doing this because he does not follow us.

But Jesus said: Do not stop him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.

For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the one Spirit; To another the workings of miracles and to another prophesy. To another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.read more.
But in all these the same Spirit works, making a distribution to each one as he (God) wills.

He called his twelve disciples. He gave them power to cast out unclean spirits and to heal all kinds of disease and sickness.

When Elisha arrived he went alone into the room. He saw the boy lying dead on the bed. He closed the door and prayed to Jehovah. Then he lay down on the boy, placing his mouth, eyes, and hands on the boy's mouth, eyes, and hands. As he lay stretched out over the boy, the boy's body started to get warm.read more.
Elisha got up and walked around the room. He returned and again stretched himself over the boy. The boy sneezed seven times and then opened his eyes. Elisha called Gehazi and told him to call the boy's mother. When she came in, he said to her: Take your son! She fell at Elisha's feet with her face on the ground. Then she took her son and left.

While they were burying a dead man they saw a band coming. They put the man quickly into the place where Elisha's body was. The dead man's body touched Elisha's bones. The man came to life again and got up on his feet.

God has appointed some in the congregation: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helpers, abilities to direct, different tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

A disciple named Tabitha was at Joppa. Her name, when translated means Dorcas. This woman did many good works and gave gifts of mercy. She was sick, and died. Peter went to them right a way. When he arrived they brought him into the upper chamber. All the widows stood by him weeping and showing the coats and garments that Dorcas made while she was with them. Peter put them all outside, kneeled down, and prayed. He turned to the body and said: Tabitha, rise! She opened her eyes. When she saw Peter, she sat up. He gave her his hand and lifted her up. Then he called the holy ones and widows and presented her alive.

He that provides the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' I will say to them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of evil.'

The rich man said: I beg you, father Abraham, send Lazarus to my father's house. Have him go warn my five brothers that they will not come to this place of torment. Abraham said: Your brothers have Moses and the prophets to warn them. They should listen to them.read more.
The rich man responded: It is not enough father Abraham! If someone from the dead went to them they would repent. Abraham said: If they would not listen to Moses and the prophets, they would not listen to someone from the dead.

When he was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many saw the signs he did and expressed active faith in his name. Jesus did not trust his security to them for he understood all men.

There will be false Christs and false prophets. They will show great signs and wonders so that many will be misled. This includes some of the chosen ones.

Then Pharaoh sent for his wise men and sorcerers. These Egyptian magicians did the same thing using their magic spells. Each of them threw his staff down. They all became large snakes. But Aaron's staff swallowed theirs.

But the magicians used their secret powers to do the same thing.

A certain man called Simon was in the same city. He used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, telling everyone that he was great. They all listened to him, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man has great power from God. They followed him because for a long time he astonished them with sorceries.

The evil (lawless) one will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false signs and wonders.

He performed great signs, so that he made fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

They are demonic spirits, working signs, which go to the kings of the earth, of the whole world. They gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet that performed signs before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.
