And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

After the LORD God formed from the ground every wild animal and every bird that flies, he brought each of them to the man to see what he would call it. Whatever the man called each living creature became its name.

As a result, they both understood what they had done, and they became aware that they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves.

His brother was named Jubal; he became the ancestor of all those who play the lyre and the flute.

Zillah gave birth to Tubal-cain, who became a forger of bronze and iron work. Tubal-cain's sister was Naamah.

Adam knew [Eve as] his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, for [she said], “God has granted another child for me in place of Abel, because Cain killed him.”

Adam lived one hundred thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

The length of time Adam lived after he became the father of Seth was 800 years; during this time he had other sons and daughters.

When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father of Enosh.

When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.

Jared lived 800 years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters.

When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.

After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.

Methuselah lived 782 years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters.

Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of a son,

Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters.

After Noah was five hundred years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Now Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

When Nahor had lived twenty-nine years, he became the father of Terah.

And after he became the father of Terah, Nahor lived 119 years and had other sons and daughters.

After Terah had lived seventy years, he became the father of Abram and Nahor and Haran [his firstborn].

This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.

He slept with Hagar, and she became pregnant. When she realized that she was pregnant, she treated her mistress with contempt.

And Jehovah will say, The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah became great, and because their sin was exceedingly heavy,

She became pregnant again and had another son. She said, "This time I will praise the Lord." That is why she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.

And Rachel saw she had borne no children unto Jacob, so Rachel became envious of her sister, - and said unto Jacob, Come! give me children, or else, I die.

Jacob became angry with Rachel and said, “Am I in God’s place, who has withheld children from you?”

Bilhah conceived and gave birth to a son for Jacob.

Bilhah, Rachel's servant, became pregnant again and gave Jacob another son.

God paid attention to Leah; she became pregnant and gave Jacob a son for the fifth time.

Leah conceived again and gave birth to a sixth son for Jacob.
