The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
“If you have faith the size of a mustard seed,” the Lord said, “you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
“Where, Lord?” they asked Him.He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there also the vultures will be gathered.”
Then the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.
“What do you want Me to do for you?”“Lord,” he said, “I want to see!”
But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Look, I’ll give half of my possessions to the poor, Lord! And if I have extorted anything from anyone, I’ll pay back four times as much!”
If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say this: ‘The Lord needs it.’”
The King who comesin the name of the Lordis the blessed One.Peace in heavenand glory in the highest heaven!
Moses even indicated in the passage about the burning bush that the dead are raised, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.
For David himself says in the Book of Psalms:The Lord declared to my Lord,‘Sit at My right hand
David calls Him ‘Lord’; how then can the Messiah be his Son?”
“Lord,” he told Him, “I’m ready to go with You both to prison and to death!”
“Lord,” they said, “look, here are two swords.”“Enough of that!” He told them.
When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they asked, “Lord, should we strike with the sword?”
Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter. So Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
They went in but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
who said, “The Lord has certainly been raised, and has appeared to Simon!”
He said, “I am a voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord—just as Isaiah the prophet said.”
Some boats from Tiberias came near the place where they ate the bread after the Lord gave thanks.
Simon Peter answered, “Lord, who will we go to? You have the words of eternal life.
“No one, Lord,” she answered.“Neither do I condemn you,” said Jesus. “Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.”]
“I believe, Lord!” he said, and he worshiped Him.
Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, and it was her brother Lazarus who was sick.
So the sisters sent a message to Him: “Lord, the one You love is sick.”
Then the disciples said to Him, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.”
Then Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.
“Yes, Lord,” she told Him, “I believe You are the Messiah, the Son of God, who comes into the world.”
When Mary came to where Jesus was and saw Him, she fell at His feet and told Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died!”
“Where have you put him?” He asked.“Lord,” they told Him, “come and see.”
“Remove the stone,” Jesus said.Martha, the dead man’s sister, told Him, “Lord, he’s already decaying. It’s been four days.”
they took palm branches and went out to meet Him. They kept shouting: “Hosanna! He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One—the King of Israel!”
But this was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet, who said:Lord, who has believed our message? And who has the arm of the Lordbeen revealed to?
He came to Simon Peter, who asked Him, “Lord, are You going to wash my feet?”
Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.”
You call Me Teacher and Lord. This is well said, for I am.
So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
So he leaned back against Jesus and asked Him, “Lord, who is it?”
“Lord,” Simon Peter said to Him, “where are You going?”Jesus answered, “Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you will follow later.”
“Lord,” Peter asked, “why can’t I follow You now? I will lay down my life for You!”
“Lord,” Thomas said, “we don’t know where You’re going. How can we know the way?”
“Lord,” said Philip, “show us the Father, and that’s enough for us.”
Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it You’re going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”
So she ran to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put Him!”
They said to her, “Woman, why are you crying?”“Because they’ve taken away my Lord,” she told them, “and I don’t know where they’ve put Him.”
Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them what He had said to her.
Having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
So the other disciples kept telling him, “We have seen the Lord!”But he said to them, “If I don’t see the mark of the nails in His hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will never believe!”
Thomas responded to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
Therefore the disciple, the one Jesus loved, said to Peter, “It is the Lord!”When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tied his outer garment around him (for he was stripped) and plunged into the sea.
“Come and have breakfast,” Jesus told them. None of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?” because they knew it was the Lord.
When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?”“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”“Feed My lambs,” He told him.
A second time He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”“Shepherd My sheep,” He told him.
He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, “Do you love Me?” He said, “Lord, You know everything! You know that I love You.”“Feed My sheep,” Jesus said.
So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them. That disciple was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray You?”
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord—what about him?”
So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”
“Therefore, from among the men who have accompanied us during the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us—
Then they prayed, “You, Lord, know the hearts of all; show which of these two You have chosen
The sun will be turned to darknessand the moon to bloodbefore the great and remarkable Day of the Lord comes.
Then everyone who callson the name of the Lord will be saved.
For David says of Him:I saw the Lord ever before me;because He is at my right hand,I will not be shaken.
For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says:The Lord declared to my Lord,‘Sit at My right hand
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah!”
For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
praising God and having favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to them those who were being saved.
Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Moses said:The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.
The kings of the earth took their standand the rulers assembled togetheragainst the Lord and against His Messiah.
And now, Lord, consider their threats, and grant that Your slaves may speak Your message with complete boldness,
And the apostles were giving testimony with great power to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on all of them.
Then Peter said to her, “Why did you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”
Believers were added to the Lord in increasing numbers—crowds of both men and women.
But an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail during the night, brought them out, and said,
When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight. As he was approaching to look at it, the voice of the Lord came:
“Then the Lord said to him:Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.
Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. What sort of house will you build for Me?says the Lord,or what is My resting place?
They were stoning Stephen as he called out: “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”
Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin!” And saying this, he fell asleep.
For He had not yet come down on any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.
“Please pray to the Lord for me,” Simon replied, “so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”
Then, after they had testified and spoken the message of the Lord, they traveled back to Jerusalem, evangelizing many villages of the Samaritans.
An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip: “Get up and go south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This is the desert road.)
When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him any longer. But he went on his way rejoicing.
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord. He went to the high priest
“Who are You, Lord?” he said.“I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting,” He replied.
There was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias!”“Here I am, Lord!” he said.
“Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him, “to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.
“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.
But the Lord said to him, “Go! For this man is My chosen instrument to take My name to Gentiles, kings, and the Israelites.
So Ananias left and entered the house. Then he placed his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road you were traveling, has sent me so that you can regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Barnabas, however, took him and brought him to the apostles and explained to them how Saul had seen the Lord on the road and that He had talked to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.
Saul was coming and going with them in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.
So the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace, being built up and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and it increased in numbers.
So all who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
This became known throughout Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
Looking intently at him, he became afraid and said, “What is it, lord?”The angel told him, “Your prayers and your acts of charity have come up as a memorial offering before God.
“No, Lord!” Peter said. “For I have never eaten anything common and ritually unclean!”
Therefore I immediately sent for you, and you did the right thing in coming. So we are all present before God, to hear everything you have been commanded by the Lord.”
