'Fear' in the Bible
O Yahweh, put them in fear. Let [the] nations know they [are merely] human. Selah
The fear of Yahweh [is] pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of Yahweh [are] true; they are righteous altogether,
Even when I walk in a dark valley, I fear no evil because you [are] with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me
Intimate fellowship with Yahweh [is] for those who fear him, and [he] makes known his covenant to them.
Yahweh [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Yahweh [is] the refuge of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear. Though war arise against me, [even] in this I [will] remain confident.
How abundant [is] your goodness that you have stored up for [those who] fear you, that you perform for those who take refuge in you before [the] children of humankind.
Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all [the] inhabitants of [the] world stand in awe of him.
Behold, the eye of Yahweh [is] on those who fear him, on those who hope for his loyal love
The angel of Yahweh encamps around [those who] fear him, and he rescues them.
Fear Yahweh, [you] his saints, for there is no lack for [those who] fear him.
Come, [you] children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.
An oracle: the wicked has rebellion in the midst of his heart. There is no fear of God before his eyes.
Then he put a new song in my mouth, a praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and will trust Yahweh.
Therefore we will not fear though [the] earth change, and though the mountains totter into [the] {midst} of [the] sea,
Why should I fear in {times of calamity}, [when] iniquity surrounds me at my heels,
Do not fear when a man becomes rich, when the wealth of his house increases,
And [the] righteous will see and fear, and will laugh at him, [saying],
There {they are very fearful} [where] no fear had been, because God has scattered the bones of him who encamps [against] you. You have put [them] to shame, because God has rejected them.
God will hear and answer them, [he] who [is] enthroned from of old, Selah Because they do not change, and they do not fear God.
God, whose word I praise, God I trust; I do not fear. What can [mere] flesh do to me?
God I trust; I do not fear. What can [mere] humankind do to me?
You have rallied those who fear you round a banner {out of bowshot}, Selah
For you, O God, you have heard my vows. You have given [me] the heritage of those who fear your name.
Hear my voice, O God, in my lamenting. Preserve my life from [the] fear of [the] enemy.
to shoot from their hiding places [at the] blameless. Suddenly they shoot [at] him and do not fear.
And then all men will fear, and will declare the working of God, and will understand his doing.
God will bless us, and all [the] ends of [the] earth will fear him.
Surely his salvation [is] near for those who fear him, that glory may abide in our land.
Teach me, O Yahweh, your way, [that] I may walk in your truth. Unite my heart to fear your name.
Who knows the strength of your anger, and your rage consistent with [the] fear due you?
You need not fear [the] terror of [the] night, [or the] arrow [that] flies by day,
Then [the] nations will fear the name of Yahweh, and all the kings of the earth your glory.
For as [the] heavens are high above the earth, [so] his loyal love prevails over those who fear him.
As a father pities [his] children, [so] Yahweh pities those who fear him.
But the loyal love of Yahweh [is] from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to [their] children's children,
Egypt was glad when they departed, because the fear of them had fallen upon them.
He gives food to those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.
The fear of Yahweh [is the] beginning of wisdom; all who do them have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.
[You who] fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; he [is] their help and their shield.
He will bless [those who] fear Yahweh, the small with the great.
Yahweh [is] for me; I do not fear. What can [mere] humans do to me?
I [am] a companion of all [who] fear you and heed your precepts.
Those who fear you will see me and be glad, because I hope in your word.
Let those who fear you turn to me, even those who know your testimonies.
My flesh trembles for fear of you, and I am afraid of your judgments.
He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry for help, and saves them.
Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, the ones who hope for his loyal love.
