'Righteousness' in the Bible

Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.

Righteousness will be ours if we are careful to follow every one of these commands before the Lord our God, as He has commanded us.’

When the Lord your God drives them out before you, do not say to yourself, ‘The Lord brought me in to take possession of this land because of my righteousness.’ Instead, the Lord will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness.

You are not going to take possession of their land because of your righteousness or your integrity. Instead, the Lord your God will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness, in order to keep the promise He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.

Be sure to return it to him at sunset. Then he will sleep in it and bless you, and this will be counted as righteousness to you before the Lord your God.

May the Lord repay every man for his righteousness and his loyalty. I wasn’t willing to lift my hand against the Lord’s anointed, even though the Lord handed you over to me today.

So David reigned over all Israel, administering justice and righteousness for all his people.

The Lord rewarded meaccording to my righteousness;He repaid meaccording to the cleanness of my hands.

So the Lord repaid meaccording to my righteousness,according to my cleanness in His sight.

And Solomon replied, “You have shown great and faithful love to Your servant, my father David, because he walked before You in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity. You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

may You hear in heaven and act.May You judge Your servants,condemning the wicked man by bringingwhat he has done on his own headand providing justice for the righteousby rewarding him according to his righteousness.

May Yahweh your God be praised! He delighted in you and put you on the throne of Israel, because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel. He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”

Reconsider; don’t be unjust.Reconsider; my righteousness is still the issue.

if you are pure and upright,then He will move even now on your behalfand restore the home where your righteousness dwells.

I will cling to my righteousness and never let it go.My conscience will not accuse me as long as I live!

He loves righteousness and justice;the earth is full of the Lord’s unfailing love.

How happy are those who uphold justice,who practice righteousness at all times.

It was credited to him as righteousnessthroughout all generations to come.

All that He does is splendid and majestic;His righteousness endures forever.

Wealth and riches are in his house,and his righteousness endures forever.

He distributes freely to the poor;his righteousness endures forever.His horn will be exalted in honor.

Open the gates of righteousness for me;I will enter through themand give thanks to the Lord.

How I long for Your precepts!Give me life through Your righteousness.

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,and Your instruction is true.

May Your priests be clothed with righteousness,and may Your godly people shout for joy.

The Lord detests the way of the wicked,but He loves the one who pursues righteousness.

Better a little with righteousnessthan great income with injustice.

Wicked behavior is detestable to kings,since a throne is established through righteousness.

Gray hair is a glorious crown;it is found in the way of righteousness.

The one who pursues righteousness and faithful lovewill find life, righteousness, and honor.

Remove the wicked from the king’s presence,and his throne will be established in righteousness.
