But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there; and being warned of God in a dream, he withdrew into Galilee and settled in a town called Nazareth,

And leaving Nazareth, he went [and] lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
And when He came to His home town [i.e., Nazareth], Jesus taught people in their synagogues to their amazement. They said, "Where did this man get [such] wisdom and [the ability to perform] these supernatural deeds?
And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee!"
When he was gone out into the porch, another wench saw him, and said unto them that were there, "This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth."
And it happened that in those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John.
saying, "Let me be: what have we to do with thou, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee, what thou art, thou art even that holy man promised of God."
Then Jesus went out from there and came to His home town [i.e., Nazareth] and His disciples went with Him.
And when it came to his ears that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he gave a cry, and said, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked on him, and said, "Was not thou also with Jesus of Nazareth?"
And he said unto them, "Be not afraid. Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified. He is risen, he is not here. Behold the place, where they put him.
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town in Galilee, named Nazareth,
named Nazareth, To a virgin of the house of David, espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, and the virgin's name was Mary.
And Joseph went up from Galilee, out of the town of Nazareth, into Judaea, to Beth-lehem, the town of David, because he was of the house and family of David,
And when they had done all the things which were ordered by the law of the Lord, they went back to Galilee, to Nazareth, the town where they were living.
And he went down with them and came to Nazareth; and did as he was ordered: and his mother kept all these words in her heart.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been as a child, and he went, as his way was, into the Synagogue on the Sabbath, and got up to give a reading.
Let us be! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to put an end to us? I have knowledge who you are, the Holy One of God.

Philip meeting with Nathanael, said to him, we have found him of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
but Nathanael said to him, can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? come and see, said Philip.
And Nathaniel said to him: Can any thing good come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him: Come and see.
Then on the third day [i.e., since Jesus' conversation with Nathaniel. See 1:47], a wedding took place in Cana in Galilee. [Note: This was a small town near Nazareth]. Jesus' mother was there
For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet does not receive honor in his own country. [Note: Jesus' reference here to his "own country" means Judea, while in Matt., Mark and Luke it refers to Nazareth].
others said, "This is the Christ;" but some said, "What? doth the Christ come out of Nazareth?"
they answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. I am he, said Jesus. and Judas who was to betray him, was also with them.
then he asked them again, who do you look for? and they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
and Pilate caused an inscription to be put over the cross, in these words, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

But I tell you of a truth, Many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when heaven was shut three years and six months, when great famishment was throughout all the land; And unto none of them was Elijah sent, save into Zarephath besides Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and yet none of them was healed, saving Naaman of Syria." And as many as were in the synagogue when they heard that, were filled with wrath and rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him even unto the edge of the hill, whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong. But he went his way even through the midst of them:
