"When a soul sinneth and committeth any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD: though he wist it not, he hath yet offended and is in sin,
Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart, - Thou shalt, faithfully reprove, thy neighbour, and not countenance him in sin:

And, now, if in truth and in sincerity ye have acted, when ye make Abimelech king; and if ye have done good with Jerubbaal, and with his house; and if according to the deed of his hands ye have done to him --
yea, if in truth and in sincerity ye have acted with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, rejoice ye in Abimelech, and he doth rejoice -- even he -- in you;
For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God.

She looked, and there was the [young] king, standing by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpeters were beside him. And all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets, and the singers with their musical instruments were directing the [singing of] praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and cried, “Treason! Treason!”
For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
The chariots of God are myriads, thousands of changes, The Lord is among them, in Sinai, in the sanctuary.
My lips would fain sing praises unto thee; and so would my soul whom thou hast delivered.
Do not let me have evil desires, or participate in sinful activities with men who behave wickedly. I will not eat their delicacies.
He that loveth strife, delighteth in sin; and whoso setteth his door too high, seeketh after a fall.
An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.
You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time; and shall we be saved?
Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with her whole heart, but rather in [blatant] deception [she merely pretended obedience to King Josiah’s reforms],” declares the Lord.
Even now they persist in sin! They make metal images for themselves, idols that they skillfully fashion from their own silver; all of them are nothing but the work of craftsmen! There is a saying about them: "Those who sacrifice to the calf idol are calf kissers!"
“For the stone will cry out from the wall [to accuse you—built in sin!]And the rafter will answer it out of the woodwork.
And then I shall say to them plainly 'I never knew you. Go from my presence, you who live in sin.'
But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me [believing in Me as Master and Teacher], and allow the [spiritually] dead to bury their own dead.”
The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom all that hinders and those who live in sin,
So they sent their disciples to him, with the Herodians. "Teacher," they said, "we know that you are honest, and that you are teaching the way of God in sincerity; and are not afraid of any one, for you do not court men's favor.
And they asked him, "Master, we know that you are right in what you say and teach, and that you show no favor, but teach the way of God in sincerity.

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
Jesus answered, "Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given unto thee from above. Therefore he that delivered me unto thee, is more in sin."
This is the man who was in the church in the waste land with the angel who was talking to him in Sinai, and with our fathers; and to him were given the living words of God, so that he might give them to you.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Never! How can we live in sin any longer, when we died to sin?
What then? are we to go on in sin because we are not under law but under grace? Let it not be so.
Let the teacher give himself to his teaching; and he who exhorts others to his exhortation. He who gives, let him do it in singleness of mind. He who rules, let him rule with diligence; and he who shows mercy must be cheerful.
With reference to the subjects about which you wrote to me: It would be well for a man to remain single.
Yet I wish that everyone were like me [i.e., with the ability to remain single. See 9:5]. However, each person has his own special gift from God; one has this gift [i.e., being content to remain single. See Matt. 19:12], and another has the other gift [i.e., feeling the need to marry and have a family].
To all who are unmarried and to widows, I would say this: It is an excellent thing if they can remain single as I am.
For married people these are my instructions (and they are the Lord's, not mine). A wife is not to separate from her husband ??11 if she has separated, she must either remain single or be reconciled to him ??and a husband must not put away his wife.
(but even if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) and that the husband should not leave his wife.
But in sinning against your brothers in this way and wounding their too scrupulous consciences, you are really sinning against Christ.
Our rejoicing is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in singleness of heart and with godly pureness - and not in fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God - we have had our conversation in the world, and most of all to you-wards.
in pureness, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,
how that the abundance of their rejoicing is, that they are tried with much tribulation. And thereto, though they were exceeding poor, yet have they given exceeding richly, and that in singleness.
Did I therein sin, because I submitted myself, that ye might be exalted? And because I preached unto you the Gospel of God freely?
I am afraid that when I come my God may again humble me before you and that I may have to grieve over many who formerly lived in sin and have not repented of their impurity, sexual immorality, and promiscuity that they once practiced.
Now this Hagar is the mountain Sinai in Arabia, and is the image of the Jerusalem which now is: which is a servant with her children.
For at one time you lived in sin, following the ways of the world, in subjection to the Ruler of the Powers of the air--the Spirit who is still at work among the disobedient.
but God who is rich in mercy, on account of his great love with which he loved us,??5 even when we were dead in sins he made us alive with Christ,??y grace are you saved,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
for you people were once darkness [i.e., when living in sin], but now you are light in [fellowship with] the Lord. [So], live like people who belong to light [i.e., who live godly lives],
Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
those preach the gospel of Christ, not in sincerity, but from a principle of contention, with a view to inflame the persecution against me:
the former are preaching Christ from the motive of rivalry, not in sincerity, supposing that this is making it harder for me to bear my imprisonment.
What difference then does it make? In one way or another, whether in pretense or in sincerity, Christ is being preached, and that is the thing that makes me glad; yes, more too, I will continue to be glad of it,
And ye which were dead in sin through the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened with him and hath forgiven us all our trespasses
So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God].
Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
As for those [elders] who continue in sin, reprimand them in the presence of all [the congregation], so that the rest will be warned.
For when we also were without understanding, being disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in sin and envy, hateful, hating one another;
for then he would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by his sacrifice.
In whole burnt-offerings and in sin-offerings Thou hast taken no pleasure.
let us draw near to God in sincerity of heart and with perfect faith, with our hearts cleansed from the sense of sin, and our bodies washed with clean water.
For if we wilfully persist in sin after having received the full knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains in reserve any other sacrifice for sins.
Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:
They have eyes for nobody but adulterous women??yes insatiable in sin. They lure unsteadfast souls. Their hearts are trained in greed. They are accursed!
Everyone who keeps living in sin also practices disobedience. In fact, sin is disobedience.
No one who continues in union with Him lives in sin: no one who lives in sin has seen Him or knows Him.
[But] the person who continues to live a sinful life belongs to the devil, because the devil has continued to sin since the beginning [See Gen. 3]. For this is the reason that the Son of God came [into the world]; it was to destroy the works [i.e., the influence of] the devil [in people's lives].
No one who has received the new Life from God lives sinfully, because the very nature of God dwells within him; and he cannot live in sin, because he has received the new Life from God.
Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words].
We know that no one who is a child of God lives in sin, but He who is God's Child keeps him, and the Evil one cannot touch him.
