Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the church of the Lord, which he purchased with his own blood.

He who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?

but when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

Beware lest there be some one who shall make a prey of you through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ.

For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren; saying, "I will declare thy name to my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I sing praise to thee." read more. Then was Jesus led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the Devil. And when he had tasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward hungry.

Again, the Devil taketh him m an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory; and said to him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus to him, Be gone, Satan! for it is written, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." Then the Devil leaveth him; and lo! angels came and ministered to him.

And lo! they brought to him a man that was palsied, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the palsied man, Be of good cheer, son; thy sins are forgiven. And lo! some of the scribes said within themselves, This man is blaspheming. read more. And Jesus seeing their thoughts, said, Wherefore have ye evil thoughts in your hearts? For which is easier? to say, Thy sins are forgiven? or to say, Arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority on earth to forgive sins,then he saith to the palsied man,Arise, take up thy bed, and go to thy house.

All things were delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth the Son but the Father; nor doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it is the will of the Son to reveal him.

Is not this the carpenters son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?

While he was yet speaking, lo! a bright cloud overshadowed them; and lo! a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; hear him."

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All power was given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make all nations my disciples, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; read more. teaching them to observe all things, whatever I have commanded you. And, lo! I am with you always, unto the end of the world.

And he was in the stern, asleep on the pillow; and they awake him, and say to him, Teacher, carest thou not that we are perishing?

And he wondered at their want of faith. And he went about the surrounding villages teaching.

He saith to them, How many loaves have ye? Go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

And he said to her, For this saying go thy way; the demon hath gone out of thy daughter.

I have compassion on the multitude, because they have remained with me now three days, and they have nothing to eat.

And sighing deeply in his spirit, he saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? Truly do I say to you, A sign will not he given to this generation.

And he asked his father, How long hath it been thus with him? And he said, From a child;

But Jesus seeing it was much displeased, and said to them, Suffer the children to come to me; forbid them not; for to such belongeth the kingdom of God.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John; and began to be in great consternation and anguish.

And Jesus said, I am; and ye will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven. Then the highpriest rent his garments, and said, What further need have we of witnesses?

And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the glad tidings to the whole creation. He that believeth and is baptized will be saved; but he that doth not believe will be condemned. read more. And these signs will accompany believers: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in a bodily shape as a dove; and a voice came from heaven: "Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased."

And Jesus hearing this, wondered at him; and turning round said to the multitude that followed him, I say to you, Not even in Israel have I found such faith.

And when the Lord saw her, he was moved with compassion for her, and said to her, Weep not.

In that hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that, though thou didst hide these things from the wise and discerning, thou didst reveal them to babes. Yea, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. And turning to the disciples he said,

Ye however are they who have continued steadfastly with me in my trials.

And he said to them, These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which are written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning me. Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures. read more. And he said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and should rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance for the remission of sins should be preached in his name among all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Ye are witnesses of these things.

The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!

And Jacobs well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with the journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone, for I always do the things that please him.

Jesus therefore when he saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, was greatly moved in his spirit, and much troubled, and said, Where have ye laid him? They say to him, Lord, come and see.

Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how is it that thou sayest, Show us the Father?

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now finished, in order that the Scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.

although he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness.

For, ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, being perceived from his works, are clearly seen, so that they might be without excuse.

in reference to the dispensation of the fullness of the times, to gather for himself into one all things in Christ, the things which are in the heavens, and the things on the earth; even in him,

in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;

hath at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds,

For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

for then must he have suffered many times since the foundation of the world; but now once in the end of the world he hath appeared, to put away sin by means of his sacrifice.
