After spending some time there, he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.

But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, "I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches."

These went on ahead and were waiting for us at Troas.

But Paul went down and fell on him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him."

And having found a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, we went aboard and set sail.

Then we went on board the ship, and they returned home.

After these days we got ready and went up to Jerusalem.

And some of the disciples from Caesarea went with us, bringing us to the house of Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we were to lodge.

And the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present.

The next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he went to the temple to give notice of the date when the days of purification would end and the offering would be made for each one of them.

When the centurion heard this, he went to the commander and told him, saying, "What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman citizen."

They went to the chief priests and the elders and said, "We have bound ourselves under a solemn oath to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.

But the son of Paul's sister heard of their ambush, and he went and entered the barracks and told Paul.

Since you can easily verify that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship.

Festus then, three days after arriving in the province, went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.

After he had spent not more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, and on the next day he took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought.
