Elijah said to her: Have no fear. Go and do as you said, but first make me a little cake of it and come and give it to me. Then make something for yourself and your son. For this is the word of Jehovah, the God of Israel: 'Your supply of meal will not come to an end. The bottle will never be without oil, till the day when Jehovah sends rain on the earth.' But Paul shook the snake off into the fire without being harmed at all. The people were waiting for him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. They waited a long time and saw nothing unusual happen to him. They changed their minds and said he was a god. A man named Publius, who was the governor of the island, had property around the area. He welcomed us and treated us kindly. We were his guests for three days. His father was sick in bed. He suffered from fever and dysentery. Paul went to him, prayed, placed his hands on him, and made him well. After that happened, other sick people on the island went to Paul and were made well. They honored us with many gifts. When we were going to set sail, they put whatever we needed on board.


Elisha went to Shunem, where a rich woman lived. She invited him to a meal. From that time on every time he went to Shunem he would have his meals at her house. She said to her husband: I know that this man who comes here often is a holy man. Let us build a small room on the roof, and put a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp in it. He can stay there when he visits us.


He spoke boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him home and explained God's word more accurately.


He left the synagogue and went next door to the house of a man named Titus Justus, one who worshiped God.


He was of the same trade as Paul. So he stayed with them and worked at their tentmaker trade.


He waited many days in Jappa with Simon a tanner.

They were annoyed because they taught the people through Jesus. They preached the resurrection from the dead.


Then Philip began at the same Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

He preached in the synagogues immediately. He preached Christ the Son of God.

You know the Word of God was sent to the children of Israel. He (Jehovah God) presented peace through the anointed Lord (or Master) of all, Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:36) (Jesus identified his father, Jehovah God, as Lord of all heaven and earth at Matthew 11:25)

He explained and proved that Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. And that Jesus is the Messiah.

Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The sons of Israel listened to him and did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Jehovah said to Moses: Take Joshua son of Nun, a capable man, and place your hands on his head.





But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continues, being not a hearer who forgets but a doer who works, this man will be blessed in what he does.


If a man's work that he built upon lasts, he will receive a reward.

[There will be] glory, honor and peace to every one who does good works, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
