This is the written genealogy of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. When they were created, he called them Mankind. When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth.
That which is born from the flesh is flesh and that which is born from the Spirit is spirit.
From one person he made every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth. He determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation.
As is the earthy so are those who are of the earth. And as is the heavenly, so are those who are of heaven. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Therefore, through one-man sin entered into the world, and death through sin. So death passed to all men, for all have sinned.
Like Adam, they have broken the covenant. They were unfaithful to me there.
But the two are not the same, because God's gift (spiritual endowment) is not like Adam's sin. It is true that many people died because of the sin of that one man. But God's grace is much greater, and so is his gift to so many people through the loving-kindness of the one man, Jesus Christ. And there is a difference between God's gift (spiritual endowment) and the sin of one man. After the one sin, came the guilty judgment; but after so many sins, comes the undeserved gift of righteousness. It was by the transgression of the one that death ruled as king through that one. Even more so shall those who receive the abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, rule as kings in life by the one, Jesus Christ.read more.
The result of one trespass was condemnation for all men. The result of righteousness was justification (acquittal), which brings life for all men. Through the disobedience of one man many have been made sinners. Yet through the obedience of one man many will be made righteous.
Death came because of what one man did. The resurrection of the dead also comes because of what one man did. In Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
He said to Adam: Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
For the creation was subject to corruption, not by it's own will but by reason of the one who subjected it on the basis of hope. The creation will also be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
We all once lived in the lust of our flesh, indulging the desires (lusts) of the flesh and of the mind. We were by nature children of anger and violent passion, like everyone else.
When we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.
When you see a thief, you make friends with him. You keep company with people who commit adultery.

You must separate the Israelites from anything that keeps them from being presentable to me. Otherwise they will die. This is because they defile my tent, which is among them, and make it unclean.
If you are disloyal and join with the nations that are still left among you and intermarry with them, Jehovah your God will no longer drive these nations out as you advance. Rather, they will be as dangerous for you as a trap or a pit and as painful as a whip on your back or thorns in your eyes. This will last until none of you are left in this good land that Jehovah your God gave you.
Do not let me be persuaded to do anything evil or to become involved with wickedness, with people who are troublemakers. Do not let me taste their delicacies.
Do not befriend an angry man. Do not associate with a man who throws fits. If you do you will learn his ways and you will become trapped.
Never hate your brother in your heart. Be sure to correct your neighbor so that you will not be guilty of sinning along with him.
They are determined to do evil, and they tell themselves: Let us set traps! No one can see us.
They know the judgment of God, that those who commit such things are worthy of death! And yet, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who do them.

Therefore you are witnesses and consent to the works of your fathers. They killed them and you build their tombs.

Do you have faith? Have it for yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in that thing that he allows.
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead reprove (expose) (convict) them.
While Israel remained at Shittim, the people indulged in sexual immorality with the Moabite women. The Moabites invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods. The people ate and bowed down to their gods. So Israel joined itself to Baal of Peor. Jehovah was angry against Israel.
They worshipped Jehovah, but they gave honor to their gods like the nations did from whom they had been taken as prisoners.
Is physical Israel the ones who eat the sacrifices, the partakers of the altar? What do I mean? That the idol is anything, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I say, that the things that the nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.
I am Jehovah, the Holy God. You have been chosen to be my people, and so you must be holy too.
The reason is because I am Jehovah your God. You must live holy lives. Consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am holy. Never become unclean by touching anything that swarms or crawls on the ground. I am Jehovah! I brought you out of Egypt to be your God. Be holy because I am holy.
Tell the entire congregation of Israel: 'Be holy because I, Jehovah your God, am holy.
Be holy in all your conduct, just as the one who called you is holy. Because it is written: You shall be holy for I am holy.
You will not associate with these peoples left among you or speak the names of their gods or use those names in taking vows or worship those gods or bow down to them.
Be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them, for they will be destroyed. Do not inquire after their gods, saying: How do these nations serve their gods that I also may do likewise?
Make sure that no man, woman, family, or tribe standing here today turns from Jehovah our God to serve the gods of other nations. This would be like a root that grows to be a bitter and poisonous plant.
Jehovah warned the children of Israel about these nations. He said: You are not to take wives from them and they are not to take wives from you. They will certainly turn your hearts to go after their gods. Solomon loved his wives anyway.
Give praise to Jehovah, the God of your fathers, and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the strange women.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship does righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what communion does light have with darkness?
News came to the enemies of Judah and Benjamin that the people who had come back were building a Temple to Jehovah, the God of Israel. They approached Zerubbabel and the heads of families and said: Let us help you build for we are servants of your God, the same as you. We have been making offerings to him from the days of Esarhaddon, king of Assyria, who sent us here. But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the heads of families in Israel said to them: You have no part with us in the building of a house for our God. We will do the work for Jehovah, the God of Israel, as Cyrus, king of Persia, has given us orders.
After these things were done, the captains came to me and said: The people of Israel and the priests and Levites have not kept themselves separate from the people of the lands. They have taken part in the disgusting ways of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. They have taken their daughters as wives for themselves and for their sons. They have mingled the holy race with peoples around them. In fact the leaders and officials were first to do this evil.
I heard another voice from heaven, say: Come out of her, my people, that you do not partake of her sins, and that you do not receive her plagues!
Shecaniah, the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answering, said to Ezra, We have done evil against our God, and have taken as our wives strange women of the peoples of the land. But still there is hope for Israel in this question.
I answered them: The God of heaven will be our help; so we, his servants, will go on with our building. But you have no part or right or any name in Jerusalem.
That way we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the lands, or take their daughters for our sons;
Was it not in these things that Solomon, king of Israel, did wrong? Among a number of nations there was no king like him. He was dear to his God, and God made him king over all Israel. But even he was made to do evil by strange women. Are we then without protest to let you do all this great evil, sinning against our God by taking strange women for your wives?
Get out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the burning anger of Jehovah.
The wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If her husband dies, she is free to marry whom she wishes, only in the Lord.
Therefore come out from among them and be separate (set off) (severed from them) (excluded from them), said Jehovah. Do not touch the unclean thing and I will receive you. (Isaiah 52:11) (Jeremiah 51:45)
Get out of her my people! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of Jehovah.
Do not lay your hands hastily on any man, neither be a partaker of other men's sins: keep yourself pure.
Now I beseech you, brothers, mark those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine you have learned and avoid them.
I wrote in a letter to you not to keep company with fornicators. Yet you cannot completely avoid the fornicators of this world, nor the greedy persons, nor cheaters and robbers, nor those who worship idols. To do so you would have to leave this world. I wrote you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother who is a fornicator, or who is greedy, or who worships idols, or constantly gets drunk, or cheats people. Do not even eat with such a person.
If anyone does not obey our word in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he will be put to shame.
