But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein will be burned up. Seeing that all these things are thus to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat!
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. the enemy that sowed them is the Devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels. As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the world. The Son of man will send forth his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all the stumblingblocks, and those who do iniquity, and will cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then will the righteous shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.
and before him will be gathered all the nations; and he will separate men one from another, as a shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats; and he will set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on the left. Then will the king say to those on his right hand, Come, ye blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.read more.
For I was hungry, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me. in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus; who will be punished with everlasting destruction proceeding from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power, when he shall come in that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all who believed; for our testimony to you was believed.
