but, as it is written: "The things which eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, and which have not entered into the heart of man, the great things which God hath prepared for those that love him." For God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the depths of God.
having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself
whereby, when ye read, ye may perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ; which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
We know moreover that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
and be not conformed to the fashion of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that ye may learn by experience what is the will of God, what is good, and wellpleasing, and perfect.
For in truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, did both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles, and the peoples of Israel, assemble in this city, to do whatever thy hand and thy will before determined to be done.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour! But for this cause I came to this hour.
And he cometh the third time, and saith to them, Sleep on, and take your rest! It is enough! the hour is come: lo! the Son of man is delivered up into the hands of sinners.
Jesus saith to them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil. Go ye up to the feast; I go not up to this feast; for my time is not yet fully come.
But Jesus answereth them, saying, The hour hath come that the Son of man should be glorified.
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them unto the end.
When Jesus had thus spoken, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father! the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee;
having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself in reference to the dispensation of the fullness of the times, to gather for himself into one all things in Christ, the things which are in the heavens, and the things on the earth; even in him,
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
and in what appertained to him appearing as a man, he humbled himself, and was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also highly exalted him, and gave him a name which is above every name; that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth,read more.

And he is the head of the body, the church; since he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he may be in all things preeminent;
hath at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds, who being a brightness from his glory and an image of his being, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself accomplished a cleansing of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; having become so much superior to the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.
for I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And he came a little nearer, and fell on his face, praying and saying, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me! nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt. And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, Is it so that ye could not watch with me one hour? Watch, and pray that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.read more.
Again he went away a second time, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this [cup] cannot pass away from me, but I must drink it, thy will be done!
And going on a little farther, he fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it was possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee! take away this cup from me. But not what I will, but what thou wilt.
saying, Father, if thou art willing to remove this cup from meyet not my will, but thine be done!
Jesus saith to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears, to him that was able to save him from death, and was heard by reason of his godly reverence, though a son yet learned his obedience from what he suffered;
Then said I, Lo, I have comein the volume of the book it is written of meto do thy will, O God."
For this is the will of my Father, that every one who looketh on the Son and believeth in him, shall have everlasting life; and I will raise him up in the last day.
For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life. For God sent not the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that through him the world might be saved.
