How can they have understanding, that are the workers of wickedness, eating up my people as it were bread, and calling not upon God?
What manner of fellow is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What profit should we have, to submit ourselves unto him?'

But the LORD hurled a great wind in to the sea, so that there was a mighty tempest in the sea: insomuch that the ship was like to go in pieces. Then came he to his disciples and said unto them, "Sleep henceforth, and take your rest. Take heed: the hour is at hand, and the son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners.
And he returned and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy: neither could they wist what they might answer to him. And he came the third time, and said unto them, "Sleep henceforth, and take your ease. It is enough. The hour is come; Behold the son of man shall be delivered into the hands of sinners.
Likewise, ye men, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as unto them that are heirs also of the grace of life, that your prayers be not let.
Then Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai which is beside Bethaven, on the east side of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, "Get you up and view the country." Moreover, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in leaving praying for you and to show you the good and right way.
Abide in me, and let me abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, and ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me can ye do nothing.
From whence cometh war, and fighting among you? Come they not here hence, even of your voluptuousness that raineth in your members? Ye lust, and have not. Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, even to consume it upon your voluptuousness.read more.
Ye adulterers, and women that break matrimony: know ye not how that the friendship of the world is enmity to Godward? Whosoever will be friend of the world, is made the enemy of God.
