Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her,

They should train the younger women to love their husbands and children,

But to those already married my commandment is??nd not mine, but the Lord's??hat a wife is not to leave her husband;

Wives likewise to their husbands as to the Lord,

And I myself also am confident regarding you, my brothers, that you yourselves are already full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and well able to give advice to one another.

I am not writing this to shame you, but to admonish you, as my beloved children.

And you fathers, do not irritate your children, but bring them up in the nature and admonition of the Lord.

Let the word of Christ have its home in you richly, in all wisdom. Teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, ever singing with grace in your hearts unto God.

And, brothers, we urge you to admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, lose patience with none.

"And every one who hears these words of mine and does them not, I will liken to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand.

I am become weak to the weak, to win the weak. I am become all these things to all men that, by any and by all means, I may save some.

And, brothers, we urge you to admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, lose patience with none.

"In all things I have set you an example, how that so toiling, you ought to help the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Now we who are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to seek our own pleasure.

"'For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; "'I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to see me.'

On the contrary, therefore, If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will be heaping burning coals on his head.

"But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.

If you are keeping the royal law, which says, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thou dost thyself, you are doing well.

"The second is this, "Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. Other command greater than these there is none."

Love never wrongs his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilment of the Law.

Now we who are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to seek our own pleasure. Let each one of us try to make his neighbor happy for his good, unto his upbuilding.

"'In solemn truth I tell you,' the King will answer them, 'that inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these, my brothers, you have done it unto me.' "Then he will say to those also at his left hand. 'Depart from me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; "for I was hungry, and you gave me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; "I was a stranger, and you took me not in; naked, and you clothed me not; sick, or in prison, and you visited me not.' "Then will they also answer, 'Master, when did we ever see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to you?' "But he will reply, 'In solemn truth I tell you that inasmuch as you did not do it unto one of these least, you did not do it unto me.' "And these will go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into eternal life."

Then a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him. "Master," he said "what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" And he said to him. "What is written in the Law? What do you read there?" "You have answered right," said Jesus "do that and you shall live." But he, determined to justify himself, said to Jesus, "But who is my neighbor?" Jesus answered. "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell among bandits who both stripped him and beat him, and went off leaving him half dead. "Now a certain priest chanced to be going down that way, but on seeing him he passed on the other side. "In like manner also a Levite who came to the spot, came and looked at him, and passed on the other side. "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was, and when he saw him was moved with compassion. "He went to him bound up his wounds, pouring on them oil and wine. He set him on his own beast, and took him to an inn, and took care of him. "The next day he took two silver pieces and gave them to the landlord and said, "'Take care of him, and whatever more you spend I will repay it to you on my way back.' "Which then of these three seems to you to have behaved like a neighbor to the man who fell among bandits?" He replied, "The one who showed mercy on him." "Go, then," said Jesus, "and do likewise."

Meanwhile, may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as I do toward you.

Let brotherly love continue.

If you are keeping the royal law, which says, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thou dost thyself, you are doing well.

Take care that none of you ever return evil for evil, but always pursue what is kind to one another and to all. Always be joyful. Pray without ceasing. read more.
Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Quench not the Spirit. Do not despise prophesyings. But try all, holding fast to the good. Exhort slaves to be obedient to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing to them in every respect;
