'Instruction' in the Bible

It is to be a sign for you on your hand and a reminder on your forehead, so that you may speak about the instruction of the LORD; for the LORD brought you out of Egypt with a strong show of force.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction.

The whole community of the Israelites traveled on their journey from the Desert of Sin according to the Lord's instruction, and they pitched camp in Rephidim. Now there was no water for the people to drink.

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay there so that I may give you the stone tablets with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

[The] instruction [is] {the same for the guilt offering as for the sin offering}; {it belongs to} the priest, who makes atonement with it.

"This [is] the instruction for any infectious skin disease and for the diseased area of skin,

You must keep My instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yahweh your God.”

They must keep My instruction, or they will be guilty and die because they profane it; I am Yahweh who sets them apart.

So Moses numbered them according to the instruction of the LORD, as he had been commanded.

" 'This is the regulation of the Nazirite who has made a vow of his offering to Yahweh according to his separation, {in addition to what he can afford}. In accordance to the word of his vow that he vowed, he will do, concerning the instruction of his separation.'"

They put him in custody, because there was no clear instruction about what should be done to him.

Follow the whole instruction the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, prosper, and have a long life in the land you will possess.

“Now this is the command; the statutes and the judgments (precepts) which the Lord your God has commanded me to teach you, so that you might do (follow, obey) them in the land which you are crossing over [the Jordan] to possess,

You must abide by the instruction they give you and the verdict they announce to you. Do not turn to the right or the left from the decision they declare to you.

When he is seated on his royal throne, he is to write a copy of this instruction for himself on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests.

It is to remain with him, and he is to read from it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, to observe all the words of this instruction, and to do these statutes.

Moses gave us instruction,a possession for the assembly of Jacob.

They will teach Your ordinances to Jacoband Your instruction to Israel;they will set incense before Youand whole burnt offerings on Your altar.

Above all, be strong and very courageous to carefully observe the whole instruction My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go.

But Jehu did not remain careful to walk in the instruction of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart. He never abandoned the sins of Jeroboam that had caused Israel to sin.

“Go and inquire of the Lord for me, the people, and all Judah about the instruction in this book that has been found. For great is the Lord’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites for the music, gave instruction in music, for he was skilful.

He told the people of Judah to seek the Lord God of their ancestors and to carry out the instruction and the commands.

Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction,and he meditates on it day and night.

So now, kings, be wise;receive instruction, you judges of the earth.

The instruction of the Lord is perfect,renewing one’s life;the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy,making the inexperienced wise.

Be strong, and let your heart be courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD. A Davidic instruction.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
