'Someone' in the Bible

Ruth the Moabitess asked Naomi, “Will you let me go into the fields and gather fallen grain behind someone who allows me to?”Naomi answered her, “Go ahead, my daughter.”

Naomi responded to her daughter-in-law Ruth, "It is prudent, my daughter, for you to go out with his women servants, so someone won't attack you in another field."

Then Eli said to her, "How long will you behave like someone [who is] drunk? Put away your wine!"

(Now it used to be in Israel that whenever someone went to inquire of God he would say, "Come on, let's go to the seer." For today's prophet used to be called a seer.)

Then someone from the army informed him, "Your father put the army under a strict oath saying, 'Cursed be the man who eats food today!' That is why the army is tired."

Someone reported this to Saul: "Right now the army is sinning against the LORD by eating meat with the blood." He said, "You have acted treacherously. Roll a large stone to me today."

Then Samuel told Jesse, "Are these all the young men?" He said, "There yet remains the youngest one, and right now he's tending the sheep." Samuel told Jesse, "Send someone to get him, for we won't do anything else until he arrives here."

Let our lord command your servants here in your presence to look for someone who knows how to play the lyre. Whenever the evil spirit from God troubles you, that person can play the lyre, and you will feel better.”

Then Saul commanded his servants, “Find me someone who plays well and bring him to me.”

So David got up early in the morning, left the flock with someone to keep it, loaded up, and set out as Jesse had instructed him.He arrived at the perimeter of the camp as the army was marching out to its battle formation shouting their battle cry.

Then he turned from those who were nearby to someone else and asked the same question, but they gave him the same answer as before.

As long as Jesse's son lives on the earth, neither you nor your kingdom will be established! Now send someone and bring David to me. He's a dead man!"

All those who were in trouble or owed someone money or were discontented gathered around him, and he became their leader. He had about four hundred men with him.

Indeed, God speaks in one [way], even in two, [yet] [someone] does not perceive it.

So also is it with someone who has sex with his neighbor's wife; anyone touching her will not remain unpunished.

Everything I say is sensible to someone who understands, and correct to those who have acquired knowledge.

Whoever heeds correction is on the pathway to life, but someone who ignores exhortation goes astray.

If someone puts up security for a stranger,he will suffer for it,but the one who hates such agreements is protected.

People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.

The one who searches for what is good finds favor,but if someone looks for trouble, it will come to him.

The one who brings ruin on his householdwill inherit the wind,and a fool will be a slaveto someone whose heart is wise.

It is better to be lowly and a servant {to someone} than self-glorifying and lacking food.

What the wise have to teach is a fountain of life and causes someone to avoid the snares of death.

Someone whose conduct is upright fears the LORD, but whoever is devious in his ways despises him.

A mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but learning comes easily to someone who understands.

Whoever controls his temper is better than a warrior, and anyone who has control of his spirit is better than someone who captures a city.

Anyone who overlooks an offense promotes love, but someone who gossips separates close friends.

The first to put forth his case seems right, until someone else steps forward and cross-examines him.

Better a poor man who lives with integritythan someone who has deceitful lips and is a fool.

Whoever obeys a commandment keeps himself safe, but someone who is contemptuous in conduct will die.

Many claim "I'm a loyal person!" but who can find someone who truly is?
