'Ways' in the Bible

Now if I have indeed found favor in Your sight, please teach me Your ways, and I will know You and find favor in Your sight. Now consider that this nation is Your people.”

When you bring to the Lord the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he will take it to the altar.

“When someone sins in any of these ways: If he has seen, heard, or known about something he has witnessed, and did not respond to a public call to testify, he is responsible for his sin.

If he is not redeemed in any of these ways, he and his children are to be released at the Year of Jubilee.

So keep the commands of the Lord your God by walking in His ways and fearing Him.

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you except to fear the Lord your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, and to worship the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul?

For if you carefully observe every one of these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, and remain faithful to Him—

be careful not to be ensnared by their ways after they have been destroyed before you. Do not inquire about their gods, asking, ‘How did these nations worship their gods? I’ll also do the same.’

provided you keep every one of these commands I am giving you today and follow them, loving the Lord your God and walking in His ways at all times—you are to add three more cities to these three.

Today you have affirmed that the Lord is your God and that you will walk in His ways, keep His statutes, commands, and ordinances, and obey Him.

The Lord will establish you as His holy people, as He swore to you, if you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.

For I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commands, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and multiply, and the Lord your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

Whenever the judge died, the Israelites would act even more corruptly than their fathers, going after other gods to worship and bow down to them. They did not turn from their evil practices or their obstinate ways.

He walked in all the ways his father had walked; he served the idols his father had served, and he worshiped them.

He did what was right in the Lord’s sight and walked in all the ways of his ancestor David; he did not turn to the right or the left.

may You hear in heaven, Your dwelling place,and may You forgive and repay the manaccording to all his ways, since You know his heart,for You alone know the human heart,

so that they may fear Youand walk in Your waysall the days they live on the landYou gave our ancestors.

and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

When you make a decision, it will be carried out,and light will shine on your ways.

The wicked are those who rebel against the light.They do not recognize its waysor stay on its paths.

He gives them a sense of security, so they can rely on it,but His eyes watch over their ways.

These are but the fringes of His ways;how faint is the word we hear of Him!Who can understand His mighty thunder?

Does He not see my waysand number all my steps?

For He repays a person according to his deeds,and He brings his ways on him.

For His eyes watch over a man’s ways,and He observes all his steps.

because they turned aside from following Himand did not understand any of His ways

His ways are always secure;Your lofty judgments are beyond his sight;he scoffs at all his adversaries.

Concerning what people do:by the word of Your lipsI have avoided the ways of the violent.

For I have kept the ways of the Lordand have not turned from my God to wickedness.

Make Your ways known to me, Lord;teach me Your paths.

All the Lord’s ways show faithful love and truthto those who keep His covenant and decrees.

Do not drag me away with the wicked,with the evildoers,who speak in friendly ways with their neighborswhile malice is in their hearts.

For they do not speak in friendly ways,but contrive deceitful schemesagainst those who live peacefully in the land.

Then I will teach the rebellious Your ways,and sinners will return to You.

You crown the year with Your goodness;Your ways overflow with plenty.

If only My people would listen to Meand Israel would follow My ways,

I will listen to what God will say;surely the Lord will declare peaceto His people, His godly ones,and not let them go back to foolish ways.

You have set our unjust ways before You,our secret sins in the light of Your presence.

For He will give His angels orders concerning you,to protect you in all your ways.

For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation;I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray;they do not know My ways.”

He revealed His ways to Moses,His deeds to the people of Israel.

If only my ways were committedto keeping Your statutes!

I obey Your precepts and decrees,for all my ways are before You.

But as for those who turn aside to crooked ways,the Lord will banish them with the evildoers.Peace be with Israel.

A song of ascents.How happy is everyone who fears the Lord,who walks in His ways!

They will sing of the Lord’s ways,for the Lord’s glory is great.

You observe my travels and my rest;You are aware of all my ways.

The Lord is righteous in all His waysand gracious in all His acts.

The Lord protects foreignersand helps the fatherless and the widow,but He frustrates the ways of the wicked.

from those who abandon the right pathsto walk in ways of darkness,

whose paths are crooked,and whose ways are devious.

for her house sinks down to deathand her ways to the land of the departed spirits.

think about Him in all your ways,and He will guide you on the right paths.

Her ways are pleasant,and all her paths, peaceful.

Don’t envy a violent manor choose any of his ways;

Carefully consider the path for your feet,and all your ways will be established.

She doesn’t consider the path of life;she doesn’t know that her ways are unstable.

For a man’s ways are before the Lord’s eyes,and He considers all his paths.

Go to the ant, you slacker!Observe its ways and become wise.

Don’t let your heart turn aside to her ways;don’t stray onto her paths.

“And now, my sons, listen to me;those who keep my ways are happy.

The one who lives with integrity lives securely,but whoever perverts his ways will be found out.

A righteous man is careful in dealing with his neighbor,but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.

Whoever lives with integrity fears the Lord,but the one who is devious in his ways despises Him.

All a man’s ways seem right to him,but the Lord evaluates the motives.

When a man’s ways please the Lord,He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The one who keeps commands preserves himself;one who disregards his ways will die.
