'Written' in the Bible

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa ordering their destruction, so that Hathach might show it to Esther, explain it to her, and command her to approach the king, implore his favor, and plead with him personally for her people.

They found the written report of how Mordecai had informed on Bigthana and Teresh, two eunuchs who guarded the king’s entrance, when they planned to assassinate King Ahasuerus.

She said, “If it pleases the king, and I have found approval before him, if the matter seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his sight, let a royal edict be written. Let it revoke the documents the scheming Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

You may write in the king’s name whatever pleases you concerning the Jews, and seal it with the royal signet ring. A document written in the king’s name and sealed with the royal signet ring cannot be revoked.”

On the twenty-third day of the third month (that is, the month Sivan), the royal scribes were summoned. Everything was written exactly as Mordecai ordered for the Jews, to the satraps, the governors, and the officials of the 127 provinces from India to Cush. The edict was written for each province in its own script, for each ethnic group in its own language, and to the Jews in their own script and language.

So the Jews agreed to continue the practice they had begun, as Mordecai had written them to do.

the Jews bound themselves, their descendants, and all who joined with them to a commitment that they would not fail to celebrate these two days each and every year according to the written instructions and according to the time appointed.

So Esther’s command confirmed these customs of Purim, which were then written into the record.

All of his powerful and magnificent accomplishments and the detailed account of Mordecai’s great rank to which the king had honored him, have they not been written in the Historical Records of the Kings of Media and Persia?

I wish that my words were written down,that they were recorded on a scroll

Then I said, “See, I have come;it is written about me in the volume of the scroll.

The inscription of the charge written against Him was:THE KING OF THE JEWS.

(just as it is written in the law of the Lord: Every firstborn male will be dedicated to the Lord)

as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah:A voice of one crying out in the wilderness:Prepare the way for the Lord;make His paths straight!

But Jesus answered him, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone.”

The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to Him, and unrolling the scroll, He found the place where it was written:

However, don’t rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

“What is written in the law?” He asked him. “How do you read it?”

Then He took the Twelve aside and told them, “Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem. Everything that is written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.

and He said, “It is written, My house will be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves!”

because these are days of vengeance to fulfill all the things that are written.

And His disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for Your house will consume Me.

It is written in the Prophets: And they will all be taught by God. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me—

Even in your law it is written that the witness of two men is valid.

Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written:

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples that are not written in this book.

But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing you may have life in His name.

And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books that would be written.

“For it is written in the Book of Psalms:Let his dwelling become desolate;let no one live in it; andLet someone else take his position.

Then God turned away and gave them up to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets:House of Israel, did you bring Me offerings and sacrifices40 years in the wilderness?

When they had fulfilled all that had been written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and put Him in a tomb.

God has fulfilled this for us, their children, by raising up Jesus, as it is written in the second Psalm:You are My Son;today I have become Your Father.

And the words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written:
