NOW on the first day of the week, at the earliest dawn of day, they came to the sepulchre, bringing the aromatics which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Twice in the week I go without food; I give a tenth of all I have.

A week later they met to circumcise the child, and were about to call him 'Zechariah' after his father,

And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath day, and said unto the people, "There are six days in the week, in which men ought to work, in them come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day."

Then Jesus went out to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed to doing [each evening during His final week], and His disciples followed Him.

Then Jesus answering, said, O faithless and perverse generation! how long shall I be with you, how long shall I bear with you? bring hither thy son.

To his disciples he said, "There will come days when you will long and long in vain to have even one day of the Son of man.

"Beware of the scribes who like to go about in long robes, and love to be saluted with respect in public places, and to have the front seats in the synagogues and the best places at banquets??47 men who eat up widows' houses and to cover it up make long prayers! And will not God do right in the cause of his saints, whose cries come day and night to his ears, though he is long in doing it?

And he gave the people this story: A man made a vine-garden and gave the use of it to some field-workers and went into another country for a long time.

Now Herod was very glad to see Jesus, for he had been wanting to see Him for a long time on account of what he had heard about Him; also he was hoping to see some spectacular performance done by Him.

So he continued to question Him for a long time, but Jesus gave him no answer at all.
