Then Festus, after conferring with the council, answered: To Caesar have you appealed? To Caesar you shall go.

whom Jason has received into his house: and they all act in opposition to the decrees of Caesar, saying, That there is another king, Jesus.

he answering for himself: Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I committed any offense.

And Paul answered: I am standing at the judgment-seat of Caesar, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you very well know.

If, however, I be an offender, and have done any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die. But if the things of which these men accuse me are nothing, no one can deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar.

But when Paul made his appeal, that he should be kept for the judgment of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept, till I could send him to Caesar

And Agrippa said to Festus: This man could have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed to Caesar

and said, Fear not, Paul; you must stand in the presence of Caesar; and behold, God has given you all that are sailing with you.

But because the Jews spoke against it, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar: not that I have any accusation to bring against my own nation.
