And if others have this right, do we not have it more? But we have not used this right, but endure all things, that we may not impede the gospel of Christ.

But see that the exercise of your right does not prove any stumbling-block to the weak.

So he that gives his daughter in marriage is doing right, and he who keeps her unmarried will be doing right, and he who keeps her unmarried will be doing better.

But if, in any man's opinion, he is not doing what is right for his virgin, if she is past her best years, and there is need for it, let him do what seems right to him; it is no sin; let them be married.

On the other hand, a father, who has definitely made up his mind, and is under no compulsion, but is free to carry out his own wishes, and who has come to the decision, in his own mind, to keep his unmarried daughter at home will be doing right.

Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to stop doing manual labor [in order to support our ministry]?

You are, indeed, doing right to give thanks, but your neighbor is not built up.

But if you do marry, you have not sinned [in doing so]; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned [in doing so]. Yet those [who marry] will have troubles (special challenges) in this life, and I am trying to spare you that.

If Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear from you, because he is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.

Again, what good will they be doing who are baptized on behalf of the dead? If it is true that the dead do not rise, why are people baptized on their behalf?

Whether, then, you are eating or drinking, or whatever you are doing, let everything be done to the glory of God.

The wife does not have the right to do as she pleases with her own body; the husband has his right to it. In the same way the husband does not have the right to do as he pleases with his own body; the wife has her right to it.

He did the same with the cup after the supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. As often as you drink from it, keep doing this in memory of me."
