So if you have cases dealing with this life, why do you appoint as judges people who have no standing in the church?

Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing securely should watch out so he doesn't fall.

Remain alert. Keep standing firm in your faith. Keep on being courageous and strong.

But let me recall to you, brethren, the Good News which I brought you, which you accepted, and on which you are standing,

Whatever condition God has allotted to any man, let him go on in the same state he was in when he became a christian: this I give as a standing rule to all churches.

So you owe it all to Him through union with Christ Jesus, whom God has made our wisdom, our means of right standing, our consecration, and our redemption,

And these are just the characters some of you used to be. But now you have washed yourselves clean, you have been consecrated, you are now in right standing with God, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God.
