Jephthah assembled all the men of Gilead and they fought with Ephraim. The men of Gilead defeated Ephraim, because the Ephraimites insulted them, saying, "You Gileadites are refugees in Ephraim, living within Ephraim's and Manasseh's territory."
Judah’s harassment will end.

Ephraim shall be a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which is sure.
And I will be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
And Ephraim is become like a silly dove without understanding: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
