Send them away, so that they may go into the country and small towns round about, and get some food for themselves.
He replied, "Give them some food, yourselves." They said, "Are we to go and buy ten pounds' worth of food and give them that to eat?"
and they sat down in several divisions, some consisting of an hundred, and some of fifty.
Then they gathered up twelve baskets full of broken pieces [of bread] and also some fish.
And the Pharisees and some of the scribes, coming from Jerusalem, are gathered together to him,
And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
But she answered him, "Yes, Lord. Yet even the puppies under the table eat some of the children's crumbs."
Some people brought him a deaf man who also had a speech impediment. They begged him to lay his hand on him.
and if I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way; and some of them are come from far.
And they had some small fishes; and blessing them he had them put before the people in the same way.
Then he told them, "I tell all of you with certainty, some people standing here will not experience death until they see the kingdom of God arrive with power."
Here the Pharisees came out, and began to argue with Jesus, asking him for some sign from the heavens, to test him.
As they came to Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus and begged him to touch him.
And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
As they approached the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and some scribes arguing with them.
Then they [i.e., some people from the crowd] brought the sick boy to Jesus, and when the spirit saw Him, it immediately caused the boy to have convulsions and to fall to the ground and roll around, foaming at the mouth.
And John answered him saying, Teacher, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, who does not follow us, and we forbad him, because he does not follow us.
Pharisees came to Jesus to test Him [intending to trick Him into saying something wrong], and asked Him, “Is it lawful [according to Scripture] for a man to divorce his wife and send her away?”

They were still on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; they were full of wonder, and some, though they followed, did so with fear. Then, once more calling to Him the Twelve, He began to tell them what was about to happen to Him.
And some of them, turning in protest, gave him an order to be quiet: but he went on crying out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt?
Many of the people spread their cloaks on the road, while some strewed boughs which they had cut from the fields;
But in the distance He saw a fig-tree in full leaf, and went to see whether perhaps He could find some figs on it. When however He came to it, He found nothing but leaves (for it was not fig time)
The chief priests and the scribes heard this and began searching for a way to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, since the entire crowd was struck with astonishment at His teaching.
And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

As Jesus was teaching in the Temple, He responded [to some Pharisees. See Matt. 22:41] by asking, "How is it that the experts in the law of Moses can say that the Christ is the son of David?
So, be alert, because you do not know when the owner of the house will return, whether [some] evening, at midnight, at dawn, or at [mid-] morning.
Now the feast of the Passover and of Unleavened Bread was two days later. So the high priests and scribes kept looking for some way to arrest Him by stratagem and have Him put to death,
And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and handed it to them, saying, "Take some. This is my body."
He also took the cup of wine and gave thanks and gave it to them, and they all drank some of it.
but Jesus addressing himself to them, said, why do you come with swords and clubs against me, as if you were to apprehend some robber?
And a certain young man [Note: Some think this is a reference to Mark himself], who had a linen outer garment thrown over his scantily clad body, was following Jesus until they [i.e., the soldiers and officers] took hold of him. [Note: The wording here does not indicate total nakedness, but rather the wearing of underclothing only]
Meanwhile, the high priests and the whole Council were looking for some testimony against Jesus in order to have him put to death, but they couldn't find any.
Some stood up and began to give false testimony against Him, saying,
And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
Now at festival time he used to release for them some prisoner whom they begged from him.
There was in prison a man called Barabbas, among some revolutionaries who in their outbreak had committed murder.

So someone ran and soaked a sponge in some sour wine. Then he put it on a stick and offered Jesus a drink, saying, "Wait! Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down!"

And Jesus answered and said to him: Simon, I have some thing to say to you. He replied: Teacher, say on.

But Jesus said, Some one did touch me; for I perceived that power had gone forth from me.

As the day was drawing to a close, the Twelve came to him and said, "Send the crowd away to the neighboring villages and farms so they can rest and get some food, because we are here in a deserted place."
He said to them, "Give them some food yourselves." They said, "We have only got five loaves and two fish. Unless ??are we to go and buy food for the whole of this people?"
They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.
But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
and before the sound was gone, Jesus was left alone: this they kept secret, and for some time did not acquaint any one in the least with what they had seen.
And John answering said, Master, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, and we forbad him, because he follows not with us.
But He turned to them and spoke sternly. {{Some manuscripts add "You do not know what kind of a spirit you represent,
Now after these things [happened] the Lord appointed seventy-two other disciples [Note: Some ancient manuscripts say "seventy." This group would have been in addition to the twelve. See Luke 9:1], and sent them two by two on ahead of Him into every town and locality that He planned to visit.
But Martha had her hands full of the work of the house, and she came to him and said, Lord, is it nothing to you that my sister has let me do all the work? Say to her that she is to give me some help.
I tell you, even if he will not get up and give him some because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rouse himself and give him all he needs.
And what father among you, whose son asks [him] {{Some ancient manuscripts add for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone [instead]? Or, [if he asks]}} for a fish, will give him a snake [instead]?
