And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem. And Jesus went before them. And they were amazed, and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took the Twelve again and began to tell them what would happen to Him,
And the scribes and the chief priests heard. And they sought how they might destroy Him. For they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His doctrine.
And there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
And some were indignant to themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and be given to the poor. And they were incensed with her.
And when they heard, they were glad and promised to give him silver. And he sought how he might conveniently betray Him.
The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It were good for that man if he had never been born.
And He went forward a little and fell on the ground. And He prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.
And when He returned, He found them asleep again (for their eyes were heavy), neither did they know what to answer Him.
And they led Jesus away to the high priest. And with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
For many testified falsely against Him, but the testimonies were not identical.
And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked on him and said, And you also were with Jesus the Nazarene.
Let Christ the King of Israel now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe. And they who were crucified with Him insulted Him.
And also women were watching from a distance, among whom also was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome,
And Pilate wondered if He were already dead. And calling the centurion, he asked him whether He had died already.
And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, clothed in a long white garment. And they were frightened.
And they went out quickly and fled from the tomb. For they trembled and were amazed. Neither did they say anything to anyone, for they were afraid.
And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren. And both were advanced in their days.
And all the multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.
And as soon as the days of his service were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
And blessed is she who believes, for there shall be a perfecting of those things which were told her from the Lord.

And when eight days were fulfilled to circumcise the child, His name was called JESUS, the name called by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
And when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought Him to Jerusalem, to present Him to the Lord
And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken by him.
And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.
And seeing Him, they were amazed. And His mother said to Him, Child, why have you done so to us? Behold, your father and I have looked for you, greatly distressed.

also those tormented by unclean spirits; and they were healed.
And they who were sent, returning to the house, found the sick servant well.
And in the same hour He cured many of infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits. And He gave sight to many who were blind.
But seeing this, the Pharisee who had invited Him, spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, for she is a sinner.
And it happened afterwards, He traveled in every city and village, proclaiming and announcing the gospel of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve were with Him,
But as they sailed, He fell asleep. And a storm of wind came onto the lake. And they were being filled with water and were in jeopardy.
And coming out of the man, the demons entered into the pigs. And the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake and were choked.
And they went out to see what had been done. And they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had departed sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.
And all the multitude of the neighborhood of the Gadarenes were seized with a great fear, and asked Him to depart from them. And entering into the boat, He returned.
And it happened when Jesus had returned, the people received Him. For they were all waiting for Him.
And all were weeping and bewailing her. But He said, Do not weep; she has not died, but sleeps.
And her parents were astonished. But He charged them to tell no one the thing that happened.
(For they were about five thousand men.) And He said to His disciples, Make them recline by fifties in a company.
And they ate and were all filled. And there was taken up twelve hand baskets full of fragments of that left over to them.
And it happened as He was alone praying, the disciples were with Him. And He asked them, saying, Whom do the crowds say that I am?
And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah,
But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep. But fully awakening, they saw His glory, and the two men who stood with Him.
And when the voice occurred, Jesus was found alone. And they were silent, and told no one in those days anything which they had seen.
And they were all amazed at the majesty of God. But as all were marveling at all things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples,
And it happened as they were going in the way, one said to Him, Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.
Woe to you, lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and you have hindered those who were entering in.
And some were present at the same time reporting to Him of the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.
And answering, Jesus said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things?
Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above all men who lived in Jerusalem?
And when He had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed. And all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.
And they were silent. And taking him, He healed him and let him go.
And He put forth a parable to those who were invited, when He noted how they chose out the chief places, saying to them,
And he sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
For I say to you that none of these men who were invited shall taste of my supper.
The Law and the Prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone is pressing into it.
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.
And seeing them, He said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it happened, as they went, that they were cleansed.
And answering, Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Were none found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?
They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came and destroyed them all.
And He spoke this parable to certain ones who trusted in themselves, that they were righteous, and despised others:
And they did not understand any of these things. And this saying was hidden from them, nor did they know the things which were spoken.
And they who were in front rebuked him that he should be quiet. But he cried so much the more, Son of David! Have mercy on me.
And going, those who were sent found as He had said to them.
And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, Why are you untying the colt?
And they could not find what they might do, for all the people were hanging on Him, listening.
And they could not take hold of His words before the people. And they marveled at His answer and were silent.
Therefore there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife and died without children.
And as all the people were listening, He said to the disciples,
And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly. And His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.
And that same day Pilate and Herod became friends with one another, for before they were at enmity between themselves.
