Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate. Let nothing fail of all that thou have spoken.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

And she said, If it please the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha

Then Esther said, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews who are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according to this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.

Let the day perish in which I was born, and the night which said, There is a man-child conceived.

Let that day be darkness. Let not God from above seek for it, nor let the light shine upon it.

Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own. Let a cloud dwell upon it. Let blackness come upon it.

As for that night, let thick darkness seize upon it. Let it not rejoice among the days of the year. Let it not come into the number of the months.

Lo, let that night be barren. Let no joyful voice come in it.

Let them curse it who curse the day, who are ready to rouse up leviathan.

Let the stars of the twilight of it be dark. Let it look for light, but have none, nor let it behold the eyelids of the morning.

Even that it would please God to crush me, that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!

In the pride of the wicked man the poor man is hotly pursued. Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for thee.

Let them be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after my soul. Let them be turned back and confounded who devise my hurt.

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yea, let them say continually, LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of sinners drive me away.

LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is. Let me know how frail I am.

Let all those who seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee. Let such as love thy salvation say continually, LORD be magnified.

O send out thy light and thy truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Let mount Zion be glad. Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of thy judgments.

Let death come suddenly upon them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.
