To overthrow their descendants also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds: and the plague broke in upon them.

Set you a wicked man over him: and let an accuser stand at his right hand.

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

Praise you the LORD. Blessed is the man that fears the LORD, that delights greatly in his commandments.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endures forever.

Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Surely he shall not be moved forever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwells on high,

Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusts in them.

Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity; and revive me in your way.

So shall I have an answer for him that reproaches me: for I trust in your word.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in your judgments.

And I will delight myself in your commandments, which I have loved.

This is my comfort in my affliction: for your word has revived me.

My eyes fail for your word, saying, When will you comfort me?

For I am become like a wineskin in the smoke; yet do I not forget your statutes.

How many are the days of your servant? when will you execute judgment on them that persecute me?

[Lamed] Forever, O LORD, your word is settled in heaven.

Unless your law had been my delights, I should then have perished in my affliction.
