And the first, coming, supposed that they would receive more; and they also received, each, a denary.

But Jesus, answering, said, "Ye know not what ye are asking. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They say to Him, "We are able."
But the multitude rebuked them, that they should be silent. But they cried the more, "Lord, have mercy on us, Thou Son of David!"
And, moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and straightway they received sight; and followed Him.
And, when they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, to the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples.
The immersion of John??hence was it? from Heaven or from men?" And they were reasoning among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From Heaven,' He will say to us, 'Why, then, did ye not believe him?'
And, answering Jesus, they said, "We do not know." He also said to them, "Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things."

But Jesus said to him, "Comrade, do that for which you are present!" Then, coming near, they laid hands on Jesus, and took Him.
And the high priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false witness against Jesus, that they might put Him to death;
and they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. But afterward two false witnesses, coming forward,
What think ye?" And they, answering, said, "He is worthy of death."
Then did they spit in His face, and buffet Him. And others smote Him,
saying, "I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You may see to that."
And, taking counsel, they bought with them the field of the potter, for a burial-place for the strangers.
Then was fulfilled that spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him Who was priced, Whom some of the sons of Israel priced,
Then says Pilate to Him, "Hearest Thou not how many things they testify against Thee?"
And at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they desired;
When, therefore, they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, "Whom do ye desire that I should release to you? Barabbas or Jesus Who is called Christ?"
For he knew that because of envy they delivered Him up.
But the high priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes, that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
And the governor, answering, said to them, "Which of the two do ye desire that I should release to you?" And they said, Barabbas."
Pilate says to them, "What, then, shall I do to Jesus Who is called Christ?" They all say, "Let Him be crucified."
But he said, "Why, what evil did He perform?" And they were crying out the more, saying, "Let Him be crucified!"
and, having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and, kneeling before Him, they mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
And, having spit on Him, they took the reed, and smote Him on the head;
and, when they mocked Him, they took off the robe from Him, and put on His own garments, and led Him away to crucify Him.
And, coming out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they impressed to bear the cross.
they gave Him to drink wine mingled with gall; and, having tasted it, He would not drink.
And, having crucified Him, they divided His garments among them, casting lots;
And they put over His head His accusation, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
and, coming forth out of the tombs after His resurrection, they entered into the holy city, and appeared to many.
And, going, they made the sepulchre secure, sealing the stone, in connection with the guard.
And, departing quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy, they ran to announce it to His disciples.
And, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" And they, coming to Him, held His feet, and worshiped Him.
Then Jesus saith to them, "Fear not, go your way, announce to My brethren that they go away into Galilee, and there shall they see Me."
And, as they were going, behold, some of the guard going into the city, reported to the high priests all that had happened.
And, having gathered together with the elders, and having taken counsel, they gave a large sum of silver to the soldiers,
And they, taking the silver, did as they were instructed. And this account was spread abroad among the Jews, until this day.
and seeing Him, they worshiped Him, but some doubted.
And, passing along by the sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, Simon's brother, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers.
And straightway He called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the boat, with the hired servants, they went away after Him.
