And Joseph said to them, What deed is this that you have done? Do you not know that one like me can certainly divine?
And we said to my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one. And his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loves him.
And now you did not send me here, but God. And He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler over all the land of Egypt.
And the sons of Israel did so. And Joseph gave them wagons according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he did not believe them.
Only he did not buy the land of the priests, for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and ate their portion which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore they did not sell their land.
And Joseph made it a law of the land of Egypt to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part, excepting only the land of the priests, which did not become Pharaoh's.
And his sons did to him according as he commanded them.
And when Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will perhaps hate us, and will certainly repay us all the evil which we did to him.
So shall you say to Joseph, please lift up the rebellion of your brothers, and their sin. For they did evil to you. And please now lift up the rebellion of the servants of the God of your father. And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.
And there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.
But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved alive the male children.
And he looked this way and that way, and when he did not see anyone, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, Why have you hurried to come today?
And Jehovah said to Moses in Midian, Go! Return to Egypt, for all the men who sought your life are dead.
And Aaron spoke all the words which Jehovah had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
And the taskmasters of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten. And they demanded, Why have you not completed your task in making brick, both yesterday and today, as you did before?
And Moses said so to the sons of Israel. But they did not listen to Moses through anguish of spirit and through cruel bondage.
And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh. And they did so, as Jehovah had commanded. And Aaron threw down his rod in front of Pharaoh and in front of his servants, and it became a snake.

And He hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he did not listen to them, as Jehovah had said.
And Moses and Aaron did so, as Jehovah commanded. And he lifted up the rod and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants. And all the waters in the river were turned to blood.
And the magicians of Egypt did so with their secret arts. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as Jehovah had said.
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house; And he did not set his heart to this also.
And the magicians did so with their secret arts, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
And Jehovah did according to the word of Moses. And the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
