It is the Spirit That giveth life; the flesh profits nothing: the words which I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were that believed not, and who it was that would betray Him.

Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! Accordingly, therefore, I myself with the mind, indeed, serve the law of God; but, with the flesh, the law of sin. Verse ConceptsFreedom, Of The WillThank God!The MindServing God

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye will not fulfill the desire of the flesh. For the flesh covets against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary one to the other, that ye may not do the things which ye wish. But, if ye are being led by the Spirit, ye are not under law. read more.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strifes, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, as I also said before, that those practicing such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

I am the Living Bread That came down out of Heaven: if any one eat of This Bread, he shall live forever; yea, and the Bread That I will give him is My flesh, for the life of the world." The Jews, therefore, were wrangling with one another, saying, "How can This Man give us His flesh to eat?" Jesus, therefore, said to them, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in yourselves. read more.
He that eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day; for My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He that eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, abides in Me, and I in him. As the Living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father; so he, also, who eats Me, shall live because of Me. This is the Bread That came down out of Heaven. Not as the fathers ate, and died: he that eats this Bread shall live forever." These things He said in the synagogue, while teaching in Capernaum. Many, therefore, of His disciples, having heard this, said, "This is a hard saying! Who can hear it?" But Jesus, knowing in Himself that his disciples were murmuring about this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble? What, then, if ye behold the Son of Man ascending where He was before? It is the Spirit That giveth life; the flesh profits nothing: the words which I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life.

"I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that bears not fruit, He taketh it away: and every one that bears fruit, He cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit. Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye are seeking to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak the things which I have seen with My Father; and ye, therefore, do the things which ye heard from your father. They answered and said to Him, "Our father is Abraham." Jesus saith to them, "If ye are children of Abraham, ye are doing the works of Abraham. read more.
But now ye are seeking to kill Me, a Man Who hath told you the truth, which I heard from My Father: this Abraham did not. Ye do the works of your father." They say to Him, "We were not born of fornication; we have one Father??od." Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, ye would love Me; for I came forth, and have come from, God; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do ye not understand My speech? it is because ye cannot hear My word. Ye are of your father the Devil; and the desires of your father ye wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; because he is a liar, and the father of it. And, because I speak the truth, ye believe Me not. Who of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do ye not believe Me? He that is of God hears the words of God; on this account, ye hear them not, because ye are not of God."

And Jesus cried, and said, "He who believes on Me, believes not on Me, but on Him Who sent Me; and he that beholds Me, beholds Him Who sent Me. I have come a light into the world, that every one who believes on Me may not abide in the darkness. read more.
And, if any one hears My words, and keeps them not, I do not judge him; for I came, not to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Jesus saith to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me. If ye knew Me, ye would know My Father also; from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him." Philip says to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it suffices us." read more.
Jesus saith to him, "So long a time am I with you, and you do not know Me, Philip! He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how say you, 'Show us the Father?' Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I say to you, I speak not from Myself; but the Father, abiding in Me, doeth His works. Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; or, else, believe Me because of the works themselves.

On the morrow the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except one, and that Jesus, entered not with His disciples into the boat, but His disciples went away alone (yet there came boats from Tiberias near to the place where they ate the bread, the Lord having given thanks): when, therefore, the multitude saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves entered into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. read more.
And, having found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, "Rabbi, when camest Thou hither?" Jesus answered them and said, "Verily, verily, I say to you, ye seek Me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled. Work not for the food that perishes, but for the food that abides unto eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you; for Him God the Father sealed." They said, therefore, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered, and said to them, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him Whom He sent." They said, therefore, to Him, "What sign doest Thou, then, that we may see, and believe Thee? What doest Thou? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it has been written, 'He gave them bread out of Heaven to eat.'" Jesus, therefore, said to them, "Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread out of Heaven; but My Father giveth you the true bread out of Heaven; for the Bread of God is He Who cometh down out of Heaven, and giveth life to the world." They said, therefore, to Him, "Lord, evermore give us this bread." Jesus said to them, "I am the Bread of Life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst. But I said to you, that ye have even seen Me, and do not believe. All that the Father giveth to Me shall come to Me; and him who comes to Me I will in no wise cast out; because I have come down from Heaven, not to do My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me. And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that of all that He hath given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that every one who beholds the Son, and believes on Him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day." The Jews, therefore, were murmuring concerning Him, because He said, "I am the Bread that came down out of Heaven." And they said, "Is not this Jesus, the Son of Joseph, Whose father and mother we know? How doth He now say, 'I have come down out of Heaven'? Jesus answered, and said to them, "Murmur not among yourselves. No one can come to Me, unless the Father Who sent Me draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day. It has been written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Every one who heard from the Father, and learned, comes to Me. Not that any one has seen the Father, save Him Who is from God, He hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say to you, he that believes has eternal life. I am the Bread of Life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died. This is the Bread That cometh down out of Heaven, that one may eat thereof, and not die. I am the Living Bread That came down out of Heaven: if any one eat of This Bread, he shall live forever; yea, and the Bread That I will give him is My flesh, for the life of the world."
