'Name' in the Bible

I will cause your name to be remembered for all generations;therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever.

Your name, God, like Your praise,reaches to the ends of the earth;Your right hand is filled with justice.

I will praise You forever for what You have done.In the presence of Your faithful people,I will put my hope in Your name, for it is good.

Sing to God! Sing praises to His name.Exalt Him who rides on the clouds —His name is Yahweh—and rejoice before Him.

The descendants of His servants will inherit it,and those who love His name will live in it.

May his name endure forever;as long as the sun shines,may his fame increase.May all nations be blessed by himand call him blessed.

May His glorious name be praised forever;the whole earth is filled with His glory.Amen and amen.

They set Your sanctuary on fire;they utterly desecratedthe dwelling place of Your name.

God, how long will the enemy mock?Will the foe insult Your name forever?

Remember this: the enemy has mocked Yahweh,and a foolish people has insulted Your name.

Cover their faces with shameso that they will seek Your name Yahweh.

May they know that You alone—whose name is Yahweh—are the Most High over all the earth.

All the nations You have madewill come and bow down before You, Lord,and will honor Your name.

Teach me Your way, Yahweh,and I will live by Your truth.Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name.

I will praise You with all my heart, Lord my God,and will honor Your name forever.

North and south—You created them.Tabor and Hermon shout for joy at Your name.

Enter His gates with thanksgivingand His courts with praise.Give thanks to Him and praise His name.

Then the nations will fear the name of Yahweh,and all the kings of the earth Your glory,

so that they might declarethe name of Yahweh in Zionand His praise in Jerusalem,

Davidic.My soul, praise Yahweh,and all that is within me, praise His holy name.

Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name;proclaim His deeds among the peoples.

Honor His holy name;let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.

Yet He saved them because of His name,to make His power known.

Save us, Yahweh our God,and gather us from the nations,so that we may give thanks to Your holy nameand rejoice in Your praise.

Let the line of his descendants be cut off;let their name be blotted out in the next generation.

But You, Yahweh my Lord,deal kindly with me because of Your name;deliver me because of the goodness of Your faithful love.

He has sent redemption to His people.He has ordained His covenant forever.His name is holy and awe-inspiring.

Yahweh, I remember Your name in the night,and I obey Your instruction.

Turn to me and be gracious to me,as is Your practice toward those who love Your name.

Otherwise, I might have too muchand deny You, saying, “Who is the Lord?”or I might have nothing and steal,profaning the name of my God.

For he comes in futility and he goes in darkness, and his name is shrouded in darkness.

Whatever exists was given its name long ago, and it is known what man is. But he is not able to contend with the One stronger than he.

A good name is better than fine perfume,and the day of one’s death than the day of one’s birth.

Yes, Yahweh, we wait for Youin the path of Your judgments.Our desire is for Your name and renown.

Yahweh our God, lords other than You have ruled over us,but we remember Your name alone.
